Be Our Guest still having long lunch lines?

We're going to be back in the world in the middle of January and I'm wondering if BOG still is experiencing long wait lines for lunch. Hopefully even if they are now they won't be when we go.

Yup, they still are. The other week we had a 1:15 FP+ for lunch at BoG, and the line still went most of the way down the bridge when we checked in.

There are still long lines, but them seem to move pretty well. We have done lunch a few time and the line was to the end of the bridge on each visit, but it did not take more than 15-20 minutes to get in.

I went on September 7 and the line stretched down the bridge and out onto the path a bit. I don't remember how long I waited in line but it was about 30 minutes between my getting in line and getting the food delivered to my table...so it moved pretty quickly.

To sort of play along the above comments, we skipped out on BoG this past March because of the line but folks like the above keep telling me that while it looks daunting, don't let it scare you away as it moves fast. I'm holding onto that hope as we're going to attempt it on this upcoming December trip. If you'd like I'll try to remember to report back on just where the line was when we got in it and how long it was before we were getting our food (like Ariel484 did above). :)

We lucked out with Dinner Reservations in Jan. I must say even with the reservation we still had 1/2 wait but it was well worth it. The atmosphere was great and the food was excellent.

Do you have to have a fast pass reservation to have lunch there? I know last year the turned us down everyday for lunch!
No lunch is quick service. You simply wait in a line. The only way you should be turned away is if you arrive too close to the lunch/dinner switch. Dinner is TS and will require an ADR to avoid a long wait or being turned away.

We ate there in March for dinner, but I'd rather go for lunch.

This is not the first time i've heard this. I've only had lunch there and tried tiredlessly to get a reservation for my upcoming trip in January with no luck. Why did you prefer the lunch to the dinner? Maybe not getting a reservation was a blessing in disguise lol.

I have had both lunch and dinner there and lunch would edge out dinner.

When you compare just the food there is no question that dinner is better. It is hard to compare a sandwich to Pan-seared Salmon. However, when you look at the experience as a whole, all of the rigamarole and expense you have to go through for dinner take it down a notch or two.

It was one of our favourite dinners of our trip this year. We didn't try lunch due to the lines - over the bridge by 10am -but I think we will next year as it seems so popular and everyone says the lines move quickly.

We had lunch there last month and the line was supposedly about 1.25 hrs from end to entry. They were handing out umbrellas for shade and giving people water with lemon. If you're able to get a FP+ for it...I'd HIGHLY recommend it. We had a FP+ window of 12-12:15pm...we checked in and literally walked right in. I preordered our food, so even getting food took very little time.

I have a fast pass for lunch. :D I'm just wondering what is really good for lunch there? We had to pre select our meals, which I didn't like, but I can make changes to them.

We had a FP+ for BoG last week. The stand-by line was already down the bridge and wrapped around the corner some ways by 10:30. We had a late FP+ at around 1:50 and the line was just as long then.

I had the potato leek soup, braised pork and the cupcake with the "grey stuff", all were really good. My wife had the French onion soup, roast beef sandwich and I think it was a lemon-raspberry puff. She really liked the French onion soup (it wasn't salty like that soup often is) and she enjoyed the sandwich which was huge, but she wasn't crazy about the puff, she said it was too lemony and not enough raspberry.

I had the braised pork (which I plan on getting again next weekend :D) and the strawberry cupcake last month (not sure if I'll get that one again or the grey stuff cupcake...both?!). I was very pleasantly surprised. Both were very good! This was by far one of the best counter service meals I've had at Disney, certainly the best I've had in the Magic Kingdom.

So that's what it looked like!?! We were lucky enough to snag a table in the West Wing and since it is pretty dark in there I wasn't exactly sure how it looked before I dug in. :joyfull:
Yep, I was in the West Wing too! :) I know what you mean, it is sooooooo dark in there.
