I remember they had all theese little rooms lined upand you would go in and do what they said then you could buy the video? does anyone else remember what this was? The video says a great production from mgm studios and has two guys talking in the beginnig and end from the brown derby i believe. :)

Superstar Television?

Superstar Television

This attraction was sponsored by Sony. In the holding area, guests tried to get the emcee's attention by yelling and screaming so they could be in the show. Once all the players were "cast", they were taken backstage for costumes and make-up while the rest of the audience saw an introduction film hosted by Alan Alda. The audience was then led into a 1,000 seat theater.

Through the marvels of modern technology (a bluescreen), guests on the stage were shown appearing in I Love Lucy, The Golden Girls, Cheers, Empty Nest, Gilligan's Island and other television shows. Eight TV monitors made sure that everyone in the audience could see what was going on (the monitors also showed a Sony commercial). This show was replaced by the Doug Live! show in the spring of 1999.

Disney M.G.M. Studios

This 135 acre park opened in 1989 is the newest of the Disney parks and like Universal Studios includes a working film and TV studio. The park proved so popular when it first opened that Disney planned to double its size in the coming years!

The first part of MGM you will experience is Hollywood Boulevard home of the landmark Chinese Theatre. The theatre is home for The Great Movie Ride that lasts ten minutes. This ride takes you through the history of Hollywood classics starring audio-animotronic and real life actors. The Theatre Of The Stars is also on the Boulevard with show times throughout the day starring Disney characters so make sure you get a Show Times guide at the park entrance. If you are a bit peckish and would like elegant Hollywood dining washed down with Californian wine then head for The Hollywood Brown Derby. There are plenty of shops on the Boulevard such as Cover Story where you can have your mug shot on the front of a glossy magazine and Pacific Electric Pictures where you can star in a home video of a Hollywood classic.

I remember it well. There was also a similar attraction at Pleasure Island, but here you could star in your own pop video, lip syncing to a chromakeyed background... very funny. Don`t think its still there?
