I think parts of it look nice, especially the rug, artwork, and small pops of color, but overall it does read kind of bland especially in the bedroom. That said, the old rooms did too. This is the only resort where that kind of makes sense to me given the sleek minimalist vibe of the whole resort. But I am still waiting for Disney to wow me with a refurb. The closest they have come recently is Boulder Ridge which do look overall very nice. But a lot of others just look incredibly bland.
Who knows, I could be a minority. Maybe this is what people want, since many hotels, not just Disney, are making their designs more and more generic.
