On the news this morning they talked about the baber shop that usually goes unnoticed at MK. Anyone seen it? Any idea how much it costs?

it's awesome! my dad got his hair cut their years ago! he had been wanting to do it ever since he found out that they actually cut people's hair. so right before one trip mom told him he needed a hair cut before we left, and he was like nope! i'm waiting to get it cut on Main Street! lol but if you don't like people staring at you...beware! for some reason people just love to stand around and watch people get their hair cut on Main Street.
but i love really love that they have stuff like that at WDW...and i suppose they have one at DL too, but it just brings out the detailing and authenticity that went into Main Street. plus, no one really expects something like that to be at a theme park, so that's why it's never crowded...which makes it great for spur-of-the-moment hair cuts! never have to have an appointment!
....but i wonder if they do highlights.....hmmmmm! ;)

We had my sons first hair cut (at 11 months old) done at the MK Barber shop. They really did it up good for him. It was a great day in the barber shop because all the singers for the Barber shop quartet were in there and were being crazy.

We have also had his hair later on in his life (6 years old) and the lady that then cut it was good and put glitter in his hair and took a great picture with him.

Hope this helps out.

My son loved the glitter in the hair! He had people ask him the rest of the day what happend and he told them about the Barber shop.

Also on our Family Magic tour we stopped in the Barber shop and the guide got the "glitter" treatment.

Also I forgot that on my sons first hair cut trip to the Barber shop they gave him a set of Mickey ears that had "1st Haircut" on them for the name!!

I have had both of my kid's first haicut's done their (ages 4 and 2 now), and the barbers did a great job, and had a lot of fun. Fow my son, we had Chip and Dale right outside the window, so we attracted a crowd watching my son (he was 10 months at the time).

The last time when may daighter got his haicut, my sister-in-law's boyfriend (25 years old) got his haircut too. He got the royal treatment.. Mickey Mouse stiocker's to keep the hair out of his eyes, a old Mickey cover for his lap, glitter (held in with copious amounts of hairspray, and finally a picture with the barber taking a bif pair of plastic scissors and putting them to his throat. Needless to say, we took a LOT of picture through this (almost as many as we took of my daughter getting her first), and have blackmail material for many years to come.

Not yet... I better do it before I lose all my hair!!! hehe

The first time I saw the barber shop, it was at park closing. We weren't even sure it was a real barber shop, but then I saw the cash register in there....
