Went home for lunch and had a nice 'light' lunch...salami and provolone on a roll with hot vinegar peppers and some potato salad I made last night from a recipe I saw on 30 Minute Meals with Rachael Rae! Topped it off with a brownie I baked last night :slurp:

Of course, Im drinking like a camel now

My DH started watching Good Eats and now we try to never miss one. I have the first 30 minute meals cookbook, but the second one looks better.

I was thinking of getting those...Im not much of a cook, but some of the stuff she makes on the show just looks so YUMMY! ;) And its quick!

I prefer baking...well, I DO bake from scratch, but the brownies and cookies I made last night were the Nestle's break and bakes from the grocers refrigerator section ;)

So sorry. :D Just think...you will be eating all that great WDW food and I have to eat my cooking (not that bad, I've gotten pretty good at it).

Cooking is one of my hobbies along with collecting cookbooks.

Any special PS while at Disney?

Meeting up with mother- and sister-in-law and then the five of us are pretty much winging it. Besides our reservations @ Crystal Palace, we're just gonna stroll and take everything in as casually as possible. I would like to eat @ Norway, again. Love the seafood. If not, I'll be a double-fisted turkey leg eatin' dad.

Oh, going to Spoodles too and maybe Fulton's Crab House.

Sounds like a plan...My favorite is the skillet breakfast at the Whispering Canyon in the WL and a nice steak dinner at the Concourse Steakhouse in the Contemp.

Boy that s*cks, I would love to own a franchise of this restaurant. As Darthdarrel says, the food is awesome and the atmosphere is great.

I doubt Darden would do franchises... generally, when a business does franchises, the overall quality starts going down.

I must admit, you are correct about franchising. But I really like the food and atmosphere at the Bahama Breeze. I reminds me of my trip to Jamaica and The Bahamas.

I work for Darden....Red Lobster #161....I'm so glad it's not a franchise. Corporations have their bad points but overall franchise restaurants can't maintain consistency like corporations can. Now if I can just get them to sell REAL gumbo, it'll be all good.

Peace Love and Mickey....

Cheers

There are plans to! (if this one continues to do well...its only a test at this time, but doing well.)

The literature says there are no franchises in this country.
Maybe there are plans for others?

:D The operating word here is "WAS" if you are a bad resteraunt you will not make it in that business! :animwink:
One thing that I find weird is Donatos built and brand new resteraunt on Mentor Avenue and even though it was always crowded they closed up within 6 months, but then they built another one down the street, doesn`t make sense to me!

I've seen many franchise outlets run into the ground by bad management (some were owners others employees of what I will guess to be ill equiped owners.) Its all in how we use our resources.

And Darrel...nice avatar.
