Is this stage going to be a permanent fixture in front of the hat? Anyone have any info on that?

The structure is a temporary structure, for it to remain that, it has to be taken down for a certain amount of time. It is up for SWW, Thanks giving-new year. and any other special events lined up.

I need to clarify, I am not completely against the stage, even though it looks a bit too modern to fit at the end of the studios version of a Hollywood Main Street from the 30s. I am against the placement of it. The hat, while also not ideally located, is now even more odd looking poking out from above the top of the stage!

At least it hides some of that damn hat! That area is so messed up now that they could put a train wreak there and no one would even blink. I very seldom look toward the past, but in this case it's the only way I can deal with DHS.

Really that whole area is a mess. They have the most beautiful building hidden behind what was supposed to be a temporary hat, and now a near-permanent stage in front of that.

Looking forward to the day when both are gone and the view returns to how the designers originally intended it to be.

I dream of a tiny, localized, tropical storm hitting that exact spot at around 3:32 AM when no one is around to get hurt. Just the stage and hat irreparably destroyed.

Blink, blink. Breathe, breathe. Day in, day out.
Haven't you guys heard? It's obviously the new park icon they put in front of the original hat icon which was put in front of the original chinese theater icon! :D

I just don't understand their fascination with this stage. Especially when they would put it up and have Mulch, Sweat, and Shears and Disney Channel Rocks/HSM perform on it even though they both had mobile stages. I understand wanting to have a stage there but make something permanent that looks nice, rather than leaving this "temporary stage" up about 9 months of the year.

Imagine what they could have done with the Frozen event had the Chinese Theater not been blocked. They could have decked it out with some of Cinderella Castles' icicle/frost holiday lights and turned the garden in front of it into a Frozen topiary display. It would have looked awesome.
