Not to sound cruel, but I'm getting tired of people complaining about rep. points. Are our ego's so easily hurt that we can't dare to see a tiny red box?
It has been said numerous times that the people who matter on this board really don't give a darn abour rep. points anyways.
Does anyone not take Woody Seriously? NO.
Do I care if the person posting has 100 boxes or 1? NO. I care what they are saying/writing.
I respect tigsmom very much. However, I don't need four boxes to tell me that. In contrast, I respect lebernadin very much. He only has one box. Does that make him any less credible. NO!
At the risk of getting neg. rep points myself, I ask everyone to give the reputation points thing a rest. It's tiresome to hear every single person complain every time they get a red box (most of which are so miniscule that they don't even effect your rating). I'm also a little tired of people starting such threads only to get positive points in return. It's like fishing for compliments...NO ONE LIKES IT!
Do you know what happens when you get another green box? NOTHING. You don't win anything. You don't live longer. You don't become more respected. You don't discover the holy grail. You don't discover the meaning of life (which would've been cool)

Imagineer99, you do have a valid point, but I think Dreamteacher was asking about her signature more than fishing for points (which I know, it does happen). The complaining is getting a bit old about the rep points.......
BUT......Dreamteacher, what they said to you was just wrong! It was just plain mean. I'm sorry that happened to you. I know it hurt your feelings as it would probably have hurt mine if I were in your shoes, but try not to let it get to you. People like that have problems. Trust me, the rep thing doesn't matter. I went a streak of a month where all I got was red, and it didn't affect what most people thought of me (at least I don't think it did). Not everyone is going to agree with you, and those who leave negative rep for simple typos think way too highly of themselves. I'll give positive rep, not negative. If I disagree, I'll just tell you. I know it can hurt, especially when someone leaves a harsh comment, but don't let it get to you. This board has 10,000 members and not everyone is going to like you. Don't let it get you down.
And note dreamteacher, I'm fine with your sig. However, not that long ago we had a very long discussion in regards to the Passion of the Christ that could have easily gotten locked. Not everyone will appreciate the signature, but I don't think most will mind it. I'm not saying to be mean, just putting it out.
