The sausage served at the Kona Cafe is very good I always order it with my macadamia pineapple pancakes along with a press pot of coffee and I'm ready for a full day of touring.

That sounds extremely good right about now....

We did that one back in 2010 and while we had an early ADR (8:10), for whatever reason the food was really picked over and many things...including the corned beef hash - were never replenished. I was quite sad.

Sorry to hear that. It is the only one we even hit anymore and we have always been happy with the service and food. On our last stop we were basically the last guests for breakfast and there was plenty of food out the whole time. When we went in I was wondering if we would start our meal with breakfast and get some lunch option towards the end. Nope didn't happen.

It's on my list to try again since I think we just happened to go on a bad morning since every aspect of the meal was off. I'm also considering lunch since the menu looks interesting.

I think I'll try and get my local butcher to do a deal with WDW and supply them with bacon, nice, thick, oak-smoked back bacon rashers. What do you think Hatter, take a few packets of Ayrshire bacon with me and ask the Captain's Grille staff to cook it up? Something tells me I wouldn't see it again as the chef wouldn't be able to resist scoffing it.
Now yer talking! Ayrshire bacon in Disney. That queue will require a FP. ;)

Mmmm bacon.... Living in the midwest, and adjacent to a county that has proclaimed itself the Pork Capital of the World, I have to agree that WDW lacks in this catagory. I like huge thick almost chewy chunks of bacon. The kind that when I make a BLT the bacon is stacked about as thick as the slices of tomoato. If I had to pick a bacon destination I would say the best on site is probably at Whispering Canyon Cafe at WL. Just my dos centavos from here on the buckle of the bacon belt. :p
