Back problems and lines

Hey everyone.
I have a soon to be Father in Law with a back problem from the military. He gets into severe pain standing for a long time. He is also proud and doesnt want a wheel chair. Is there anyway to get a cast member to allow him to wait up front of the line until the rest of us get to him?
No sneaking, or budding or a disability excuse, we just want him to rest his back until we get through the line and then we all can enjoy the rides.
Any suggestions.

How about a small folding camp chair? Something that may be able to be carried on your back as a backpack and then put down temporarily as a chair?

I'm seem to remember seeing something like that, if I can find a link I will post it.
Maybe ask someone who is a hiker?

I don't think waiting at the front of the line would do him any good, as there usually aren't seats there either - but that depends on the ride.

My guess is that you'll be at the mercy of the cast member working the line at the time.

But there are quite a few rides where that's not an option anyway though... The unload (where he would wait for you) isn't near the load. Pirates, HM, Space, etc... Although I don't know how many of those he plans to ride with you.

I used one of these with my mom and it worked well. Just make sure you explain it when you're being searched upon entrance.
