Trip Report Bach to the Future!

When this trip report hits 88 miles per hour, you're gonna see some serious...dog poop!

For now, lets crank the engine on this report and warm it up!

This trip has been rescheduled several times over the  past 8 months, but now the  future holds a visit to WDW! And my trips dont run on regular gasoline. They require something with a little more kick: DOGS!

Joining me this trip is, Bach the Belgian Malinois!

He is a 1 year old Malinois and is training for service work. Above he is with my assistant trainer Elisabeth whi he LOVES dearly. We've worked with him since he was a puppy and she is imprinted on him.

He likes me too lol!

Bach is also quite the ladies man as he regularly hangs out with bith my female Malinois, Akira and Edith

As with ither dogs ive taken to train at WDW, this will be a wonderful experience of exposure amd adventure for him!

And in a stunning turn of events, there will be a (human) lady joining me this trip! Could my wife finally be joining me on a trip??? Nope! But her and I do have a December trip already planned. More on that later.

For this visit, ill be joined by...my sister!

Screenshot_20250922_075552_Instagram.jpg

I had to screenshot this picture of us because I dont have any in my phone, which justifies this trip together as we can make some good memories and get lots of pictures!

My sister is a VERY busy business woman running a construction development company and I have a small business myself so we don't get much time together aside from family events. But we bith love Disney and when I asked if she'd like to join me...she said yes!

For anybody new to my trip reports, im a fairly simple person. I train dogs, I like whiskey and white v neck tee shirts and certain Disney slang terms make me puke in my mouth.

Now lets get to the fun stuff!

Where: we will be staying at a resort that has yet to be given any slang names that make my lunch come back up and is also my new (low key) favorite resort that @Tuvalu likes to pretend was her new (low key) favorite resort first 😉😊! Wilderness Lodge!

When: Soon. Very soon.

Ill be heading down a day early and staying at Destino Tower for a night then over to WL where my sister will join.

Shes very excited for Food and Wine. And im very excited to simply return and have fun with my big sis!

Ill do my best to not be a slacker and post some details later today!

Today was our Big T Extendo day!

I got an orange from Roaring Fork for breakfast. Bach soooooo thought it was a ball he was going to get to play with lol. He was legit fixated on it all the way back to the room

20251002_075522.jpg

He promptly passed out after a hard morning of impulse control and breakfast

20251002_082912.jpg

We didnt rush to the parks. We took it slow and eventually made it to Epcot and rode Bachs favorite attraction

20251002_105142.jpg

We had a LL for Frozen but right as we reached the loading area it went down and everybody was evacuated form the building.

I grabbed a beer and a candid Pic of Bach and my sister waiting on my return
20251002_112647.jpg

Bach noticed me right away. My sister was busy working

20251002_112651.jpg

We were able to get a LL for Remmy since Frozen went down and we got the freebie LL so we headed towards France!

On the way, I once again heard a lady say my name and as I turned around, it was wdwmagics newest forum member, @NomadLounger , Ginny aka Jenny aka Weezly!

It was great to see her again! It was her last day, and ours as well. We were all just soaking up the parks and vibes!

Upon exiting, it was POURING rain. A quick check of the weather radar showed it wasnt letting up anytime soon. We made a mad dash for the sky liner and got drenched! We were in good spirits tho as we had some good action lined up for HS!

20251002_123002.jpg

In a shocking turn of events, Bach took a sky liner nap

We arrived at HS with plans to knock out a few attractions. We had a LL for ToT so that was the first stop. Here's a blurry pic of Bach waiting on the elevator to go down to the kennel. I credit the 3 beers I had which aided my camera skills

20251002_131321.jpg

I had never noticed this huge contraption next to the exit of the ride

20251002_131606.jpg

A CM told me its an old school fire extinguisher (I think). Again, 3 beers had my memory foggy

Ride Pic

After we retrieved Bach we were both a bit hungry and the weather was still a bit questionable so we decided to head back to the room to get clean (non soaked and swampy) clothes.

We did get some pics on the way out tho

And my sister judging me for the 4th beer while Bach was day dreaming about his next nap

The beer pic was the photographers idea. I love when they get into the pics and have fun with it. He told, "drink that beer up and lets a get a pic"!

We exited HS hungry! Our clothes had now dried out enough to be comfortable so instead of hopping on the bus back to WL, we chose a different resort to go get lunch.

The Geyser Point of The Polynesian Resort, Wailulu Grill!

20251002_141610.jpg

There were seats at the bar but my sister wanted a table. Those hostess informed us that that the 2 tables behind the bar were for walk up guests and we wouodnt have to wait if we wanted to sit there. No problem.for us. Amd the view was still amazing.

20251002_141632.jpg

That pic is zoomed in, but you can still the castle from the 8th wonder of Polynesian, the backside of the baaaaaaaar!

I was craving the banana old fashion

20251002_142036.jpg

We ordered the sweet potato hummus for the an appetizer. It was excellent.

20251002_142352.jpg

For entrees, I got the teriyaki chicken sliders with sweet potato fries and my sister got the burger. Bothh were awesome

After an awesome lunch at Wailulu the plan was to head back to the room, but yet again we abandoned that idea.

Quick photo shoot on our way out

1900311262_HIGH.jpg

1900333700_HIGH.jpg

Bach did not care to participate in the magic shot

1900312188_HIGH.jpg

I was able to snag a LL for Haunted Mansion so we agreed to pop into MK real quick

The ride photo never came thru, smh. But here's Bach in Memento Mori

20251002_161828.jpg

We broswed some shops and then finally decided it was time to head back to WL

Once back, we showered and relaxed for a bit. We were going to head back to Epcot but we were plum tuckered and decided relaxing at the resort and getting a good night's rest was a better idea.

I headed down to Terrirory Lounge and treid the last remaining specialty drink and FINALLY it was a proper whiskey thay did not come out all funky and/or fruity. The Timeles Elias!

20251002_191131.jpg

This was a proper way to finish the day! My sister met me down at Geyser Point and we got some food to bring back to the room. We went to bed early so we could head out in the cover of darkness lest we be seen doing the walk of shame.
Ill post a final thoughts of our trip soon. Thank you for following along and for your patience as always, especially with the typos 😁

Deep Thoughts, from 9000:

This trip was seriously fun! Ill start with the weather. For this time of year, late September, it was warm and sometimes hot but nothing that was too brutal and required cutting the day short. We head back to the room for afternoon breaks so we usually missed the high point of the heat anyway.

The crowds; moderate to low. I will definitely visit this time of year again.

Using lightning lane coupled with lower crowds really allowed us to get a lot of rides in each day without any hassle. Im not much of a ride commando but my last few trips have been with people who want to get a lot of rides in each day and this trip by far was the most successful in that aspect.

The absolute best part of this trip was spending time with my sister. This was our first trip at Disney with just her and I. We have both visited a bazillion times together as children and as adults with the family. But being able to just relax and have fun together without the hustle and bustle of being with a big group was so much fun and we are already planning another trip together for next year.

Bach, (aka Meow) was nothing short of spectacular on this trip. I will cherish the memories we made. My sister and Bach hitting it off so well plays a big part in that as well. Any of the dogs i have brought to Disney, I have worked with since they are puppies. Watching them grow up and then going to WDW with them is truly a blessing and I do not take it for granted.

Bach has definitely been with me longer than most dogs since he was a puppy. He has gone home to his family for a few weeks here and there, but they travel a lot and its been better for him to stay with me during those times to complete his training which is higher level, especially since he is a Malinois. This trip felt like I was taking one of my own dogs. We had an absolute blast and he made a new friend/family member with my sister.

One final note. The parks and our resort:
I see mixed reviews on the state of the parks and also for customer service. I can say that Wilderness Lodge has been and continues to be an excellent resort all around. The CM's are always helpful and friendly. From the front desk to bars and restaurants. We had no issues at all. Even when I screwed up the extra day we added, they made it work. Highest marks all around for WL.

In regards to the parks, I feel like the last 2 years have seen big improvements in cleanliness and CMs doing a great job. The CMs we interact with at the kennel areas are always so much fun amd helpful. And occasionally we get some juicy info or a cool story.

Thanks again to everyone for following along and for all the fun! And i didnt forget about you, @NomadLounger ! It was such a pleasure meeting you and im so happy that you are now officially part of the family here!

Ok, now im gonna get on my PTR for our upcoming trip next week! See you all a little later!!
