I was just reading about sugargliders today! at www.bestfriends.com. Unfortunately there are a lot of irresponsible people out there who want them for the novelty and then don't want to take care of them. I'm glad THIS one has a good home! What is her personality like? I have never seen one in person, but they are so adorable!!! :kiss:
My glider is soooo adorable..her personality is perfect for a glider. She is very VERY playfull (for example..at present time she is climbing up my leg..to my shoulder..and then jumping off...and then repeating the process)...I dont know what i'd do without her..shes the coolest little creature on earth..and she loves me.
I could never get rid of her..in fact..i want to get her a mate so i can start breeding them...Im responcible enough that id only sell them to "SERIOUS" owners

Ok, I'm stupid, I can't make out that pic, and I have absolutely no freakin' idea what a "sugarglider" is. Fill me in?
A SugerGlider is an "exotic" pet thats illegal in most states.but not Florida (YaY!)..they are nocturnal...marcupials...and tend to get "attached" (emotionally) to their owners. They are great pets that live for almost 9 years...so they require dedication. Overall they are low maintence however...the only requirements is to feed them..and to play with them at least an hour a day.
My glider happens to be a runt..no bigger than 5 inches (not including tail)..for her age she should be about 8 inches..not that im complaining..shes so cute

Holy crap! That IS cute. Are they smart? I would love one of those, but they probably ARE illegal in the midwest states. AND she probably wouldn't get along all that well with a dog. I have a lab that I wouldn't part with for anything. Besides, I'd probably sit on something that small.:lol:

I guess the "smart" question was actually pretty stupid of me, being that they ARE marsupials! Anyway, I could see smaller dogs possibly, but not larger ones. Dogs tend to forget their size when "playing" with things smaller than them.

Well, I can honestly say that NOW I've seen everything.
But she DOES look cute. Does she leave furs around, like dogs? My mom is alergic, that's why I was never able to have a dog... I wonder if I'd be able to find one of those down here. Gotta look for the translation of sugarglider first.

Awwwwwww those thigns are so adorable!!! I would so totally want one... but I don't think Jaela or Jaden (my cats) would play friendly... actually... Jaden's just dumb as rocks and would think it's a new toy... Jaela's the hunter...
