EPCOT 'Awesome Planet' coming to The Land pavilion

Don't forget to throw Toy Story in there. Tom Hanks and Tim Allen (at the height of his popularity)...

I don't think it was any one film, just a trend that started in the early 90s.

Toy Story and Shrek are good examples, but as an 80s kid I always recall Oliver and Company as the earliest example of a cast made up almost entirely of celebrities. Billy Joel, Joey Lawrence, Bette Midler, Cheech...even the minor characters are voiced by actors that already had face time on TV or film (Richard Mulligan, Roscoe Lee Browne, etc).

It's going to wind up smudged with hundreds of chocolaty handprints.

I wouldn’t be opposed in the slightest to the National Geographic name being used in conjunction with this, or anything in The Land. That’s where branding works absolutely naturally. In fact it could inspire people to watch National Geographic shows at home, which would inspire them to buy Disney+. A win for both sides.

National Geographic is doing a show called "Magic of Animal Kingdom" (or something like that) that will be filmed at AK and Epcot's Living Seas.

I am looking forward to this. I think this is a great way of using IP - where it very naturally fits and matches the overall theme and story of both the Pavilion and Epcot's Future World/World Nature.
