How could Disney not update the theater waiting room? It’s so lazy.
Why update something that doesn’t need updating? The wall carpet still looks good. How could Disney not update the theater waiting room? It’s so lazy.

I'm glad that showtime clocks outside of the venue are becoming common. I can only hope that Canada will put one a little further away from the cave entrance.PHOTOS - Sign and showtime clock installed at Awesome Planet

That wall is kind of epic. I remember when Circle of Life ended people were hoping that whatever replaced it would leave the wall alone. How could Disney not update the theater waiting room? It’s so lazy.

Keeping the wall carpeting is a plus in my book. Also, wouldn’t you rather have the money be spent on the actual theater (high end laser projectors, state of the art Atmos sound set up) than a perfectly fine waiting area? How could Disney not update the theater waiting room? It’s so lazy.
I have a friend who would've been utterly crushed over losing that carpet mural, as extra as that might be. (Like I'm not totally extra about Rivers...) Things need to look fresh and contemporary in this FW overhaul, but I think keeping some old iconic textures that have aged surprisingly well or even timelessly can only be a good thing. How could Disney not update the theater waiting room? The land is so complete, It contains 3 attractions, 2 restaurants (1 QS, 1 TS), and is quite beautiful. Is there any other pavilion in Epcot that can compete?
the pavilion public areas itself however could use a redo, not a fan of the cafeteria airport feel and metal everywhere (bring back a fountain!!)
Wall Carpet's the Purple Wall for Epcot fans. How could Disney not update the theater waiting room? It’s so lazy.
The Land isn't an airport.Well, it *is* an airport.
The Harvest wall carpet is one of the last vestiges of artistic EPCOT!That wall is kind of epic. I remember when Circle of Life ended people were hoping that whatever replaced it would leave the wall alone.
I’m honestly surprised we are getting this. It does not match with the IP driven EPCOT that is being pushed. I can’t help but wonder if this was approved and was too far in development that they couldn’t stop it when they decided to IP everything else.
Yea. I was pondering that. Someone high up must really like The Land and is striving to maintain its EPCOT Centerness. It's a minor miracle that between The Land's three attractions, the only IP is a Tinker Bell cameo at the end of Soarin'.
