I heard the temporary closure of Guardians was so they could reroute the trolley out the exit between Guardians and Hyperion.

All I know is the Quinjet better have a ramp I can walk up. And don't tell me it is not ADA complaint this time because in the films Rhodie is handicapped and he can walk up the ramp just fine.

OK, I was visiting the parks today. There's no Awesome Dance-Off while a section of street is fenced off. Guardians is still open, but Five and Dime can't use their jalopey. I'm relatively certain they are re-routing the track to exit through the gate between Guardians Fortress and the Hyperion. My assumption is that Marvel didn't want the Trolley to enter the Marvel Campus. Not sure what happens with the Trolley service building.

They should have just kept Bug's Land and replaced all the Flik references with pictures of Paul Rudd.

I mean maybe for the rides. The land looks to be cold and industrial and much less “Disney.”

If Spidey is just a little bit better than TSMM I’ll go as far as saying ITTBAB/ Bugs Land > Spiderman/ Marvel Land. I probably won’t feel like the land is a net positive until the Avengers ride opens. Unless Spidey really surprises us.

That was also me for the most part until my son was old enough to use the splash pad. I’ll probably continue using it as a walkway to GOTG until Avengers opens. Except I won’t be walking though a whimsical land full of trees/ bamboo. I’ll be walking through a business park.

I don’t think every land needs to be cozy and fuzzy.
DLR needs something “cool”, a little more futuristic.
Parts of the land look very EPCOTish/TLish. Particularly the Avengers building.

It kinda looks like a community college to me.
Hollywood Backlot is definitely the site of the next big investment. What would you see replace it?
Given that whatever goes into that space will be between a 1920s Buena Vista Street and a futuristic Avengers campus, it's fun to consider what sorts of concepts might work in that space.
I'm hopeful the Gateway project can open up more space to the north so it could be a significant space.
A proper Golden Age of Hollywood with Society of Explorers & Adventurers references would be very intriguing, maybe a mystic manor style trackless dark ride oriented around a Hollywood mansion (or hotel...)
Beyond Hollywood I'm not sure what other themes or IP's would make sense in the context of the Park's (very loose) California theme, and in that specific spot.
A Discovery Bay style Gold Rush land would be a great addition to the park and transition nicely into the Mission Breakout architecture.
I'd love to see what sort of blue sky concepts WDI has conceived of for this area's long term future.
