That's hysterical! They are also apparently bringing back Oswald to Buena Vista Street for 2021.
I'm *slightly* more willing to cut the Oswald pic some slack as Oswald has appeared and disappeared and reappeared over the years for meets. And it's in front of 'his' store location which is still current.

But unless they are making the new Avengers Campus Captain America meet & greet with his five year old backdrop and three year old costume for next year... I think there should've been better pic options available!

Okay, I'm gonna drop this here because my inner Marvel park nerd is screaming...

They just released the new 2021 Disneyland Calendar.

It features a picture of Captain America at his meet & greet - at Super Hero HQ - which closed in 2016 - in an older costume he hasn't worn in years. For the 2021 Calendar.

I wanted to buy this calendar until I saw that dumb picture of Captain America. I couldn’t bare a month of that tripe.

Did Oswald go away? :( My son always made a point of getting a pic with him since he’s his favorite character.

Yeah, they removed him a few years ago. He officially doesn't exist any more, and they stopped selling the hats if I remember right.

I'm not sure why. They made such a point of including him, and it was a clever little feature that never seemed to be spoiled by over-saturation. He was a quirky character for the cool kids and history buffs.

Oswald was the opposite of Duffy, which they invented out of thin air for Japanese girls and then flogged to death in Anaheim until they were convinced it was a failure and even the tacky outlet store in Fullerton couldn't get rid of him.

So at least two people liked Duffy! You and @Dr. Hans Reinhardt! I have my doubts that any others in America exist though. 😉
I didn't originally like Duffy and found him creepy when I saw him in Paris, but Gelatoni's jaunty beret turned me to the light side.

Apologies all for being wildly off topic. I find the Marvel land execution a bit dull and my mind went a wandering.

And I would've bought it if it was an updated pic of Cap rather than an outdated one. :) Double points if they'd had Star-Lord and Gamora in front of the Guardians attraction. :D
You and I are cut from different cloth, but that's okay :)

I would remove the Guardians pic, Star Wars AT-ATs, Captain America, and Jessie pics. I'd replace them with Splash Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, Fantasyland, and the Matterhorn. Minnie can stay, but I would prefer if she had other characters around her too or you could see more of the park behind her. Minnie's cute, but she's pretty annoying. lol Maybe a shot of all the characters on the train or Mark Twain, that would be fun.

Jesus. No doubt whatever this ride is, all this crap is just to be thrown up on a screen. It just doesn't look like anything I'd ever want to do. A bunch of ridiculous funny book characters flying around beating the crap out of each other and shooting lasers in a depressing environment. It looks like a nightmare.

I'm sure if it ever opens, Disney fandom will instantly declare it the greatest most immersive attraction, second only to Rise of the Resistance.
Good god you sound so miserable.

yeah im new to this forum and it didnt take long to find out that people on here are negative and whiny little babies lol

You kind of have to accept that a lot of the people in the Disneyland forum are like your sassy best friend. Once you do it becomes more funny and easier to digest all the negativity.

And then sprinkle in your positivity now and again and watch the hamster wheels spin.
