A sort of new one.

I believe it will share a lot of similarities to Flight of Passage, but it will make for a more comprehensive experience by virtue of how it starts out. It will feel sort of like two different ride experiences.

The first part has Guests load into a Quinjet. Sit in rows of four. The front shield opens and the vehicle maneuvers to Wakanda ala Star Tours. All in front of a shared Giant Imax screen. Think Simpsons at Universal.

At some point the 'Shell' that is the Quinjet pulls off as you are 'ejected into the action'. The chairs would remain supported from below/behind or above/behind, but would give you the impression that they are free floating. The two rows would splay out so that you are really now just sitting in a row of 8 in a pretty classic Flight of Passage like experience. But because of the way the headrests are designed you'd have even more visual exclusion of the periphery that you are sort of 'alone'. Presumably another Quinjet would sort of wind up beside you and you'd really be in multiple rows of guests beside, above and below you, that you'd be pretty unaware of. Basically Soaring/Flight of Passage.

I guess we could call it Soaring 3.0. The difference maker being them finally perfecting and avoiding the whole dangling feeling phenomenon (Soaring) and Flight of Passage/Soaring Phenomenon (Overt ride architecture when you initially load the attraction).

This does sound pretty cool. Thanks for the breakdown. Here’s to hoping the execution is on point. And that maybe just maybe we can get another coaster at DL this century.

The Avatar ride system is at least way more impressive than Millennium Falcon and the unconvincing screens in Rise of the Resistance. I thought that one looked pretty sharp. It's definitely cool tech. Still, the Avatar ride was more about taking in the sights similar to Soarin', which I prefer. With a Marvel funnybook ride, I'm sure it'll just be insanity. I mean, that concept art is ludicrous with flying pterodactyl aliens and superheroes beating the crap out of each other. I don't even know what in God's name is happening there.

I suppose this is what we should expect from a Marvel ride, but I'm still baffled why the Spider-Man ride takes place in an automotive plant.

Sounds like a Huss Movie Base.

Ya, maybe like that. I just assumed you’d load into your predestined levels ala Flight of Passage. But maybe all the Quinjets start from one level and the shells pull off behind everyone once they have taken off and staggered.

The Huss movie base looks more like a riff on Soaring than Flight of Passage, but that certainly could be the case.

I’d also hazard they turn up the intensity another half notch from flight of passage.

Was really hoping imagineering would go more cosmic rewind vs flight of passage. Seems Disney is just giving us more intense versions of midway and soaring with this new Marvel campus.

I don't why people are mad about this sitting next to Cars Land? Whenever Circuit City simulator doesn't work out, you can easily convert it into a used car lot like one close by me! Obviously this is a backup plan but at least they have a plan. Look at this possible immersion.

Seems WDW has been getting a bunch of roller coasters. Meanwhile, DLR gets slapped-together re-skins of existing coasters and the Emotional Whirlwind.

Magic Kingdom will have more roller coasters in 2021 than Islands of Adventure; the park people dismiss as a coaster park.

Magic Kingdom

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
Space Mountain
Big Thunder Mountain
Barnstormer
Tron

Islands of Adventure

Velocicoaster
Hagrid's
Flying Hippogriph
Hulk

Do we know what this building will be used for? Is it just a backstage facility or is it queue for the Avengers E?
People are saying it's the queue, and some are saying it's just backstage stuff. Looking at the concept art, I think it could be the queue for the Quinjet E-Ticket

You’re missing the Pterodactyl coaster at Islands, unless I missed the news of it closing. So they’ll be tied (unless you count both tracks for Space) but behind SeaWorld.

I believe there's been speculation that the building will house a gift shop upon the opening of the land, but it will eventually also be the entrance/queue to the Avenger E-Ticket with the ride exit leading into said gift shop
