Unless Universal has their own wholly owned properties to replace Marvel Superhero Island, they have little incentive to ditch the land. They will never get a better licensing deal.
True, but unless I'm mistaken, the movie versions are off-limits, and as those versions become more and more ingrained in the popular consciousness as "THE" versions, there's going to come a time when they're going to want another property that might work better for them in the long run ("What's that, you say? J.K. is working on a Harry Potter spin-off with mages in 1930s New York? Hello Wizarding World Stage 3!!!").
