AVATAR land coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom

The difference with all three of those is that the vehicle moves through a larger environment as well as tilting and spinning. I don't expect the vehicles in this vehicle to move very far within the building, but I do expect the tilting motion to be more pronounced then Soarin.
I wonder... should we expect kuka arm type movements?

The moving screen(s) aspect has me more excited about FoP. New motion is nice, but I am now starting to think that this ride is way beyond Soarin' 2.0.

Thanks, I can't wait to ride it! I am trying to keep my expectations contained, but I have heard it is one of the best dark rides around, so I can't help but be excited.
I rode it on opening day and was absolutely floored. I think it helped that I had almost no idea what to expect before getting on which presents a current problem with how closely I follow theme park happenings now but I just can't resist lol.

To get back on topic maybe it's a good thing that we don't have as many details on Avatar as we would like? We know close to nothing about what we'll actually be seeing in each ride specifically, especially FoP.

It is one of my favorite theme park rides, although I know not everyone agrees.
The only reason I don't agree is just motion sickness for me, didn't really feel that great...But if that's not a problem for someone I can't at all see them not liking the ride.

I think right now we are getting the best possible type of information and details- more intriguing stuff to get us excited, but also the kind that just confuses us on what we think it will be even more :p :D

I didn't think that FJ went upside down? My first ride will in 28 days. :joyfull:
Let me tell you something which may not matter but would have helped me to know: no, you don't get turned upside down, but you are moved into about every position that is not truly upside down. As soon as the movement started I was worried about stuff flying out of my pockets so I spent the ride with my hands pressed into my pockets which meant I couldn't hold on and was very uncomfortable. This after the person guarding the locker room told me I would be fine, that only items too big to fit in pockets needed to be stowed. The next time I ride that thing, I'm either putting everything in a locker or I'm buying some vintage cargo pants and rockin' Harry Potter 80's-syle.

I liked the movement and the ride at first but it is pretty long and the motions and change in direction never let up. Rode it twice and was very anxious for it to be over after about the mid-point. Loved the queue

@disneyhe

You beat me to it @Mike S as @Disneyhead'71 has been more bullish than I have on FoP however it seems most of our info seems to run together....I am very confident FoP will set the bar high for Screen Based Attractions... The Thrill level alone will be quite unexpected to the average Soarin rider.
I am positive everyone is underestimating FoP.

You might be disappointed with the Dementors and a few blind spots in the theming...but I think it's still Orlando's best new ride since Spider Man. I actually think it compares really well to Indiana Jones Adventure: a little short, great but not perfect...but exciting as hell and a fantastic package with an astonishing ride system.
