Looks fantastic... wait shouldn't there be a building under there? Dear god please tell me that they're not just going to tack up some scrim on the side of the building...

Not to be a nay-sayer, but how long do you think it will be before the lighted walkway goes on the fritz with that much foot traffic causing wear and tear?

Is that going to be outdoors, or part of the queue? The walk through section on the video reminds me greatly of the second half of the E.T. ride (E.T.s home planet section).

I doubt it matters where it will be. This is going to see a lot of foot traffic. That will surely hasten the demise of this effect. Will it become a new "Yeti"?

It is perfectly fine to discuss things, but I agree that a topic like the failure of a component that doesn't even exist yet is a bit of a stretch for discussion. It is most likely just something that will cause a stir and end up being unproductive.

I think that if someone wants to get all riled up over that comment then they should probably take a break and unplug from the net for a while. My question was not to antagonize anyone. I was honestly asking a legitimate question. Have they thought of the foot traffic that will surely come across these things. This is not different than the multitude of other questions that have popped up over attractions and ideas that Disney is producing for this land.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it would be by a que space or on a minor trail and not on the main walk ways, either way believe it or not the things I'm most exited for are The floating Montains, the interactive plants and the audio animtronics

I agree. If it is in a less traveled area it should hold up fine. I was just curious because I could see them putting this on a main thoroughfare. Yes, I do understand that they have experience with lighted walkways but these two walkways are totally different. However, as stated if its in a less traveled area it should be just fine I suppose. I was just curious.

I think walkways that were lit up (and perhaps twinkling in some fashion) would be fine for main walkways. Something similar to the pic a few posts back. They could come up with something that looks nice and would be resistant to wear and tear but can still enhance the environment.

But that glowing in your footprint stuff from the video? Don't know how sturdy it would be or how expensive, but I can't imagine it would be throughout the land.

Yeah. I think that would probably be a little too expensive to put everywhere.

I'd caution anyone against getting too excited by those mountains. It's easy to make stuff look good in concept art, but in reality forced perspective stuff like that can go wrong easily. Let's hope they do it right, like Everest, and not wrong, like Beast's Castle. If they just look like small models on sticks, it would be a bit of a let down.
