The D23 Expo is off to an amazing start! In the Disney Parks pavilion, Imagineers teased the Avatar project for Disney’s Animal Kingdom with a project workspace, complete with photos from the project team on their “research trip” to Pandora.

Looks like we're just another couple years before the concept art starts! I can really feel the anticipation building now!

Why can't we just get a new continent, like Antarctica, or Polar Regions, get us some Polar Bears and Penguins, or even the American Prairie or anything that is related to actual animals, No lets build a stupid attraction based on a non Disney property that isn't even very good

I've been wearing blue since the announcement of Avatar! I'm super excited for the entire project! :geek:

I feel like I should plant a tree. See what grows- the tree or any actual Avatarland construction.

The only way I'll celebrate is if they build this soon or even better scrap it and come up with something better

Busily arranging for some Space Marines but this time making sure they are equipped with mass drivers so the forest can be shredded and then use gravitational separation to separate the unobtainium from the organic matter. Much more efficient and allows us to wrap the mining operation in weeks rather than decades.

Speaking of that, why were the CM's able to breath the air of Pandora without wearing face masks? Did something in the atmosphere change since the ending of Avatar? Did they forget to actually watch the film & note this detail? How was it possible?? Oh, that's right. Disney magic.

They didn't wear face masks because they lied. They didn't actually go to avatarland. Instead they went to visit Santa at the North Pole. That was until the Easter Bunny texted them about spending the weekend in Easter Bunny land. Expect the evidence of those research trips at the next D23.
