I love Australia! Here's an e-mail our sales agent sent to my wife and son last time I was there:

Hi Guys

Mr Outback (AKA "the Witchdoctor") has met a few new friends during his brief time downunder in the land of OZ.

Here is one little bloke (a joey) who was brought to see him this morning - an orphan - his mum was killed on the road last night. He will be flown out to Perth on the same plane as us Monday to a foster home. Don't be surprised if things get messed up & the wrong one ends up in US - I guess you have to get lucky sometime.

Everyone he asks about seeing a 'roo tells him that there's heaps on the road (but there all squashed & dead) - we're a sick lot of buggers down here.

"Joey" will probably be cheaper to keep anyway & will follow you around & do what he's told - only problem is that he will be over 6 foot tall when he grows up.

MO also saw an Emu close up on the way in today + has seen a couple of other unusual things (especially in the "Wetty" when he was "shouting" us & buying "Roadies" the other night). He thinks that "Crownies" are the grousest "________" & downed more than his share in that session. Also had his photo taken yesterday with our young (Indigenous) driver who was downing numerous UDL's with us in the Wetty on Thursday. She was turning 19 today so was being shouted by all the blokes - she's a good sheila - we shouted her some chocs for the big day.

His other mate "bluey" (the guy with the red hair) threatened to punch my lights out when I introduced him as Bluey but we knew he was just pulling our tit when he pulled out his knife & headed for GH's throat. Murrin's a peaceful place - especially when OS guests are around to take the ________ out of.

One problem GH has is handling the volume of tucker which is available (I make up for him though) - today he didn't even bother with brekkie or picking up a crib.

He sits in the front of the ute every time hoping to get a butchers at a roo, but no go. I think he's starting to miss the "cheese & kisses" & the "ankle biter" but he will be home soon (but he not missing the "trump").

'avagoodwegend mates.
