Attractions you think you remember?

Well, there is the infamous "King Louie on the Jungle Cruise" example from a few years back. Personally, though, my family and I remember the TOT elevator actually moving out of a window over the park a few feet (which never happened), and I would swear the Maelstrom used to go MUCH further out over the waterfall than it actually ever did.

The boats at Maelstrom DID go out much further over the waterfall. Their back end was just about over the waterfall. You weren't imaginiing that. Maybe people thought it was too scary.

I watched Disney's Wonderful World of Color TV shows and dreamt of one day going to WDW. Watching and dreaming so much that when I did go as an adult I could swear I had experienced some of it before. The mind can take you places youve never been before, and implant experiences youd swear you had had with slight alterations mixed in. Going on PotC the first time I thought of other scenes that simply were not there and had never been.
Maybe that is what happened to me. I went in 1979 and then not again until 1996. I swear that I rode on Body Wars before. But EPCOT wasn't there in 1979.

OK I thought they did but wasn't sure.
Here's an OLD thread with Martin's opinion on the subject, which I'm inclined to believe. I do think there's some credibility to the concept of it depending on how much water is flowing out of the ride.

As an added bonus, Mr. Jungle Cruise himself has a characteristic angry post on page two. Enjoy!

Seems like I remember standing outside and seeing the boats come close to going over the edge. I didn't tell anyone that it wasn't going over the edge when we went on the ride. I got a kick out of their faces getting a scared look when they thought we were going over.

I have lots lol. For some reason I didn't go on POTC a lot as a kid. Maybe 5 times throughout the 8 trips I had until they changed it.

So for some reason I remember pre-depp POTC at the end your boat would stop and you would watch two pirate ships battle or something. And then they would take an on ride photo. Recently, I just asked my dad and he said "Uhh, no there were just more pirates on the other side.."

When I was about 4 I was JUST tall enough for Test Track. I still remember only two things.
1. I think I put nail marks in my Mom's arm because I was using the "Scared child death grip." thing.
2. I was convinced when you went outside that you drove past A cardbord cut-out/set piece of a city skyline.

Yeaaah.. There are probably more but these are the ones I remember at the moment.
