Attraction Dealbreakers

So I'm curious as to what attractions you would list in the section where it asks to specify which ones would be "dealbreakers," if you will, on whether or not you'd return to WDW if they remained open. This is hypothetical, so your 5 don't have to ACTUALLY be the reason, but what would you be most upset about not reopening?

The original -

You indicated that if select rides, shows, or other entertainment experiences within theme parks are not available, you would consider canceling your reservation. Please indicated which rides, shows, or other entertainment experiences within theme parks would cause you to definitely cancel your reservation if they were closed.

Personally, I'd be most upset if the following 5 attractions were closed on my next visit.

1). Dinosaur
2). Finding Nemo: The Musical
3). It's Tough to be a Bug!
4). Muppet*Vision 3D
5). Country Bear Jamboree

Oddly enough, I ended up leaning towards attractions that I kind of know are a hit or miss on the chopping block (except maybe Dinosaur).

I'd go if any or all of these were not operating... I'm only truly concerned with health and absence of stress, but... it's a good thought exercise.

1. Tomorrowland Transit Authority
2. Happily Ever After
3. Kilimanjaro Safaris
4. Living with the Land
5. Spaceship Earth

Aka, my favorite things for little ones.

I’m glad my trip was in January, so I don’t really need a Disney fix for a while anyway. But hypothetically, I wouldn’t want to go if the following were to be closed:

1. Splash Mountain
2. Flight of Passage
3. ToT
4. Everest
5. TTA

Sounds like OP is a Animal Kingdom fan!

id need a combo of 2 things at a park to say ‘know what? Let’s pass on going to ____’

so maybe:
Safari and Everest
Splash and Space Mtn
Tower and Muppets

It's funny you say that, because I hated the park when I was a kid!

Nowadays, though, AK seems to be the park that has the most best quality attractions in comparison to low quality attractions (not including MK). I've also grown to appreciate the aesthetic of the park. My favorite attractions are in there.

My only complaint these days is how freaking huge it is, and how long it takes to walk from one side to the other! LOL.

1. The Haunted Mansion
2. Spaceship Earth
3. The Mexico Pavilion
4. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (seriously, if this thing gets shuttered for some kind of wacky-tabacky Guardians of the Galaxy adventure, I'm frickin' THROUGH with DHS, even if Dinosaur Gertie's is still awesome).

i did a 180 on AK too. Now it’s usually the one park we don’t skip, if hypothetically we only have time for 3 (and sometimes that’s true)

plus when it gets a little too busy or too hot, well stop somewhere different near the park center and find new animals (to us) on the tree of life.

Id say I’ve done without either Everest or Safari, but if somehow both were out of order, I’d consider passing.

Even today though, wife and I were outside (were in Florida) and with how nice it was today, the comment was ‘this would be a great AK day’

Well over the years WDW has removed dozens of experiences that I considered deal-breaking, yet here I still am. So my utter lack of backbone makes this exercise purely theoretical:

Right now:
SSE
Thunder
Space Mountain
Star Tours
Kilimanjaro Safari

For good measure, formerly:
Illuminations
River Country
FW East, the exciting part - Energy, Horizons, Motion
The MK trio of a hub, with Electrical Parade and vintage fireworks
My triplet of MK ridelettes - Snow White, Toad, If You Had Wings

Why, even my class of '89 babies DHS and Typhoon lost their deal breakers in Great Movie Ride plus Mermaid and Shark Reef.
Honorable mention to the former pirates ride where they now have the Antique Roadshow presented by Johnny Depp.

My answer is honestly none of them without a significant cost offset. We pay 3x what we did 20 years ago with limited access...so closures are not appropriate if we’re honest.

I’d gladly sacrifice parades and fireworks for crowd control/safety - however.

If I had to pick, it would be the rides that already cant meet demand and Would bottleneck the rest of the parks even more:

1. Flight of passage
2. Mine train
3. Test track
4. Rockinrollercoastrer
5. Slinky dog

The fastpass system is a mess as is...you can’t take the high demand rides out without cascading utter chaos.

1. Haunted Mansion
2. Spaceship Earth
3. Expedition Everest
4. Rise Of The Resistance (mainly because I haven't experienced it yet)
5. PeopleMover

Keep in mind, this list is subject to change. I could put at least 10-15 attractions in this list :D

In the past we've encountered the shutdown of one or two attractions during our trip time due to refurbs or closures which disappointed, but having multiple attractions missing would definitely make us rethink the value of going on a trip. My top 5 must remain would be:
1 ToT
2 EE
3 Splash
4 HM
5 FoP
Any one of these being close would certainly put a damper on a trip, and the trip would still go on with regrets of missing out ... but if multiples of them were closed it would really hurt our total enjoyment factor.

I wouldn't cancel a trip but the 5 I'd be most ticked off about if they weren't operating would be

1. Rise of the Resistance
2. Space Mountain
3. Haunted Mansion
4. Tower of Terror
5. Fantasmic
