Attendance records to be smashed this Easter?

Looking at the revised hours for the Easter period, it looks to me as though Disney are expecting to set the attendance records they had planned for.

The final week of March sees some days with the MK opening at 7am for resort guests, and closing at 3am. (with Extra Magic Hours).

AK is also having a strong showing, with hours 8am to 8pm (excluding EMHours).

It's going to be a busy time, but things are looking up for WDW attendance.

Last year I thought that The Studios and MK went to full closure over Easter weekend. I would assume with the addition of Sorin' to Epcot that it might also hit max capacity.

Ugh, don't remind me... thanks to TWO Extra Magic Hour nights at the MK (Mon & Wed), I have to work two 12hr shifts till 4:30am.

WDW has had record bookings recently. Looks like 2005 could be a strong year attendance-wise for WDW.

I'm glad to see Evening Extra Magic even during peak times, extending hours past midnight.

Hope it continues during Holiday time too, us Resort Guests deserve some extra magic and time away form the crowds and the inflated room prices. :xmas:

Last year I thought that The Studios and MK went to full closure over Easter weekend. I would assume with the addition of Sorin' to Epcot that it might also hit max capacity.

I was in the Magic Kingdom on Good Friday, at the Animal Kingdom and at EPCOT on Saturday and at the Studios on Easter Sunday. The Magic Kingdom was crazy busy and the Studios was packed on the days I was there, but they never closed on either day. The other two parks were busy, but with the exception of an impossible wait for Test Track, they were manageable.

There was a lot of speculation on this board that the parks would go through various stages of closure, first the parking lots, then as to non-resort guests, etc., but I was there and never saw any of that during those three days.

When i took the MK tour someone asked the tour guide what was the longest a person has ever worked in a week. He said 120 hours YIKES!

I believe that all four parks closed on 12/31/99.

Epcot was closed even before the gates opened, due to the backup of traffic on the highway (and the unbelieveable line from the international gateway back to the dolphin).

If I remember correctly, a bus driver announced to us (as we went from MGM to PO for our dinner at Bonfamilles) that there 400,000 guests passed through the turnstyles that day.

last year i worked during spring break, right before Easter, and there was two consecutive days where are four parks were closed to non resort guests, and the MK and Studios closed to everyone after around 2pm.

it was MAD crazy!

we had over an hour and a half wait at MAGIC CARPETS OF ALADDIN, and about a 15 minute wait just to get into the treehouse!
