We invite you to be a part of the World Premiere of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End at 6pm on Saturday, May 19, at Disney Park, to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Main Street USA will be transformed into an exciting red carpet arrival for the most anticipated premiere of the summer. Many Hollywood celebrities, as well as the film’s stars*, will attend. The event will be covered by media from around the world.

The goal is to raise $3 million on behalf of the Make-A-Wish Foundation in celebration of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End. The mission of Make-A-Wish is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy.

Tickets are $1,500**. The Walt Disney Company is subsidizing the entire cost of the event, so all of the income from the ticket sales will go directly to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America and Make-A-Wish International.

Disney is dedicated to making dreams come true and proud to be the most-requested wish by Make-A-Wish kids, fulfilling over 6,000 wishes each year—such as visits to the Disney Parks, Disney Cruises, meeting Disney Characters, and visiting television and movie sets, including the set of Pirates of the Caribbean. Disney is thrilled to partner with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to brighten the lives of children when they need it most.

Your ticket includes:

Admission to Disneyland Park starting at 6pm, May 19, with access*** to:

  • Select attractions: Big Thunder Mountain, Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, Indiana Jones, and Splash Mountain.
  • Complimentary parking in the Timon Parking Lot at the Disneyland Resort

*sigh* I wish I had the money to go...:(

Anybody going to shell out $1,500 to go? If so, will you take me with you? *gives big, sad, puppy eyes* I've already tried my parents, they won't budge. However, my mom is very tempted....she loves Johnny Depp.

I *just* got back from DL last night. It was so cool to see them starting to prepare for this.

FYI though--Splash Mountain is still under rehab and doesn't look likely to be open by Sunday.

What have they done to prepare? It's kind of early...
I was there last week and nothing had changed for the premiere.

They've started to put up signs announcing the early closing that night. Landscaping crews are out in full force, especially in the New Orleans square area. Tom Sawyer's Island construction is being slowed so the screen can go up.

POTC ride lines are rediculous as well.

I have a friend who's going with her sister. She's been saving up money for a "rainy day" occasion - and figured this was the perfect opportunity!
