When you take your first step onto Main Street USA. It has to be right at opening. It is not the same if you go after the park has been opened for a while. And when I do this still at the age of 35, 6' tall & 200 lbs. I get goosebumps, chills and a smile that does not end!!!!! There is nothing like walkng down Main Street USA, what a day it starts!!!

Totally before we go, I don't have to think about it. And my trips keep failing to live up to my expectations. :( I don't know what's wrong with me... or them... I dunno. Last trip was somewhat of a disappointment to me, though. :(

I think the magic of Disney is always with me, whenever I think of Disney or help others planning trips, plan a trip of my own, check out the video clips of fireworks and shows online, anything Disney really gets me going! I tear up when I watch Wishes video or any other show video. . .I am excited about my upcoming trip 11/4 to 11/9 but I am also fearing its end b/c I am not sure when I will get back :(

I love the build up to the vacation. It's just like Christmas. Unlike Christmas though the feelings and memories of WDW last for a long time.

As the you enter the property, you can't help but feel the rush that carries you right through your trip and back home.

That's magic! :sohappy:

Since I'm living down here now, only do I get that feeling once in a while, usually at the parks. However, before this year, it was always the planning and packing and the trip down, then finally seeing the signs for WDW! :sohappy:

I said planning the trip, etc. Thats when we dig out all the old photos and start to plan what we need to do. The kids start with.."remember when we......" .

After we have a date set for sure, I usually am on these boards all the time... reading everyone's posts, especially trip reports makes the magic hit me

When I see the big "Welcome to Walt Disney World" sign and enter the property. Oooh, I get so giddy right then. It only gets worse when I get on Main Street and see the Castle again.

I have to say planning and after I set a date.
When I put that deposit down on the room, it becomes even more exciting.
The night before I am so excited I can't sleep.

At the parks. Even though it's great to plan a trip, or talk about it here on the boards, nothing compares to the magic that lies in the parks.

Passing under the huge "Walt Disney World" arch, starting to see the purple road signs, driving down World Drive---- and then all of a sudden there's a monorail beside you. *gets goosebumps* That moment when I first see the monorail is when I really start to feel like I'm there. That, andade of course stepping onto Main Street USA. Why you ask? Because...

The place was made with a magical plan
And just around the corner is a Fantasyland

98 more days till I'm walkin' right down the middle of Main Steet USA!! :animwink:

I definately have to say it hits as soon as I come out from under the Main Street station, and take those first steps out into the park, and try to absorb it all, especially if I haven't been there in awhile, it's always like "Wow". I've been enough times that sometimes I take it for granted, but come Oct.20th-26th, i'm gonna be savioring it, believe me!!!!

I would have to say all of the above. Before, during and after. However the magic peaks for me when I first enter Epcot and see Spaceship Earth.

Remeniscing and talking about with family and friends.

We all laugh and are relaxed and enjoying great memories. And it's also fun describing stories to those that did not attend.

After the fact, you get to use your imagination and tell the best story, remembering all the fun, funny stories, and great moments that were shared.
