...I finally linked my reservation!! We booked through a travel agent but couldn't get our reservation number to link. The travel agent was sure it was a problem with Disney and Disney were sure it was a problem with the travel agent but it's all sorted out and I am so incredibly excited I had to share. My kids were like, oh that's nice mum - got to say, was hoping for more. Bands are customised and the trip planning can begin in earnest when ADR window opens in 2 weeks. Woo hoo!!!!

If you had the Disney reservation number it should have linked just fine. I haven't had to do it often, but will contact the My Disney Experience team on my client's behalf if there is an issue or initiate a three way call between all of us. Im surprised your agent wasn't more helpful. Have a terrific trip!!! Marie

He was great but couldn't work out why my reservation wouldn't link. Eventually Disney gave him a different code that I used and it worked like a charm but it is the initial reservation number that shows up in the link - not tech savvy but it was a software issue apparently. Anyway, I am ridiculously excited now!
