Went straight to Modell's from work this morning. It was a madhouse. The line wrapped around the entire store and I waited exactly 1 hr to the minute I got in line. It's amazing how this team has captivated this entire city!

On my way out to the parade now. Mother nature is making it up to us after that frigid rain soaked night with a beautiful 60+ degree day today to celebrate. It's going to be a great day for Philadelphia!! :sohappy::sohappy:

My daughter Stacey is sitting on the curb at 15th and Market right this minute.
During the parade, she'll be holding a sign that say's "Today is my Birthday".
(Happy Halloween Birthday, Stacey!)
She better get some good pics, so I can post them here.
George (my husband) is going too, so that's a second chance for some pics.
(I have too much work to do, or I'd be going too.) :fork:
I guess I have to settle for watching on TV.

Hopefully, I'll have some stuff to post later!
Enjoy the parade, everyone!

Just got back! I was at Broad and Pine in front of the University of the Arts. It was amazing, so emotional. I have to work again tonight so I'll be on 24hrs of no sleep but it will be worth it. Jayson Werth looked like a rock star. They looked like they were having so much fun.

The people downtown were crazy insane intense excited and mildly-combative.
Getting down there, SEPTA basically exploded from an abundance of people.
Navigating the streets was nearly impossible.
But it was worth it.

Clifton Height's store ? Guy I work with told me the night we won, the line went up to the Five Guy's burger place.

I was down at the parade today and you could've passed out and never hit the ground. Crazy crowded but WELL worth it. I'd love to make it a habit :D
And if your cable didn't get fixed in Delco. today......see ya tomorrow.

Did ya see Anthony and Glen from WIP on the balcony of the union building ? I was at Broad and Chestnut by the Capital Grille.

So George chickened out, decided not to fight the crowds, and stayed home and watched on TV with me.
But Stacey...
She held up her birthday sign while the parade was going by. A police officer noticed and asked her if she had ID with proof that it was, indeed, her birthday. She produced it. He asked her for her rally towel, which he took to one of the parade vehicles and he gave the towel to Brett Myers, who signed it! Stacey was thrilled! She also somehow got tickets to get into Lincoln Financial Field, so she got to see the mini-show there. What a birthday!
I don't have any pictures yet, but hopefully she'll have some.

I thought it was an amazing day for the city.
A really good, positive day!

I did see the signs for WIP at the Union League. I was surprised I didn't see more signs of radio stations broadcasting from the parade.

Oh and my cable is working fine...now. I was one of those unlucky ones who missed Utley's and Howard's back to back homeruns when the cable went out during game 3 last Saturday. I was a lunatic running to the radio afraid of what I was going to miss. It's ok, if you can't see it on tv, hearing Harry call it is the second best thing.

Here's what I can tell you about that, believe it or not it was NOT a Comcast issue !! I was wondering what happened myself, I found out a few day's later that a piece of FOX's equipment fried which in turn fried something of our's. Not sure how Fox's and Comcast's equipment are connected but that's the word that I got. Apparantely Comcast's P.R people requested that Fox run some kind of scroll that they were having problems but they refused. So naturally Comcast got blamed.
