While we've been debating this today, they just arrested two people at Disneyland Paris who checked into the Disneyland Hotel with guns and ammo and a Koran in their luggage.

They put the luggage through metal detectors at the Disneyland Hotel and found them, Disney Security was alerted, and they were arrested by French police. http://www.foxnews.com/world/2016/0...ris-after-police-find-guns-hidden-in-bag.html

Considering all that's happened in the last 60 days, and now this arrest at Disneyland Paris, I'm fine with the new metal detectors at the Esplanade.

I'm trying to figure out how them asking you to go though for additional screening might as well have been them cat calling you. I'm honestly confused.
It was all men congregated there at the end of the night. There were several comments made back and forth by a couple of the men (boys really). I would never complain about a regular screening but this was different. In addition, the laughing in my face at the inconvenience of it was terribly unprofessional and inconsiderate in front of my kids. The whole thing was off. I assure you I am not easily offended and I am not a member of the entitled generation. I hate that I cannot give a better picture as to how things went down but it was not normal.

Please email Disney and give a word for word report of what they said to you. Describe the kind of looks they gave you and how it made you feel as clearly as possible. Hopefully they get some Disney employees to take over soon.

I wonder if those guys cried harassment too.

"I lost my mind, I beeped going through the metal detector, now I'm even more angry that I am being harassed."

Oh okay, i guess you should of had a crowbar in your purse and went through without incident.

How was your vacation, overall?

Speaking of vacation, I need to PM you for some tips for my upcoming Nashville trip. :)

Its introducing your children to how the world is today outside the bubble of experience that's maintained inside the Disney Parks. Its not inconsiderate because not everyone in the "public" is safe to be around.

Might I direct your eyes to item "a" below ?

Dont you know that rules that are in front of your face hinder your ability to enjoy your vacation? I dont know about you but i like to live on the edge and ignore everything until one of the rules is enforced and then i shall complain. It's my first amendment right you know.

I'll humbly suggest that you edit the OP to focus more on the objectionable behavior of the employees. As it reads right now, it comes off as if your objection is to being selected for screening in the first place.

Just my two cents, but if that is where you want to go still plan on it. Things like this and people with guns can happen anywhere. Terrorists want us to live in fear and they win if we do. Paris and Disneyland Paris is a lovely place and we experienced many pleasant people, go have fun and have a lovely honeymoon/disneymoon. Again just my two cents.

Yep, and these kinds of things probably happen at Disney resorts more frequently than we think they do.

If you felt uncomfortable, you should call Guest Services and report the incident. If Disney is going to implement these screenings, the employees need to be trained to do it in a proper fashion that does not discriminate or make people feel uncomfortable.
