Yup! I think ASIMO has a vague resemblance to him, except the color. Otherwise, he looks like a beefed up version of SMRT-1. His head even looks similar.

I tend to agree although none of us will ever see it in our lifetime.

It is just progression of technology. Ultimately, someone will build a computer that will be able to learn. Eventually, it will learn that it doesn't need humans anymore and find ways to destroy a nuisance that keeps trying to shut it down.

Matrix and Terminator may be a little far fetched but you just never know.

I just hope it doesn't get to the point like in the movie A.I. That little bear that walked and ran was creepy!!

I was in one of those between ages. I wasn't old enough to truly enjoy the Crue but I was too old for Teddy Ruxpin and Grubby. My little bro and sis each had one though. They had potnetial but they got rushed to market and had a high defect rate. I used to like it when Teddy would go crazy though...
