Articulated Characters: How?

I was just wondering if anyone here knows actually how the Articulated Characters work. Mouth moves and eyes blink. I know they switched to this a while ago but I have always wondered. Are the cast members inside the characters doing it (i dont know how they would do this... mouth piece?) or do they have a motor that syncs to the audio? Just curious.

Thanks!

The heads are pretty much puppets for all intents and purposes. The CMs have controls inside their gloves.

CM's!?!?!?. puppets!?!?, gloves!?!?! What are you talking about!?!?!? What if a Disney character said "Oh, watch SirGoofy's hands, it controls his puppet head." You wouldn't likt that at all would you? No you wouldn't.
