Art of Animation Busses

Now that the Art of Animation has been open for a while I was wondering if anyone could share their experiences dealing with transportation to and from the resort. My wife and I usually stay at POP when we visit and have always been pleased with the transportation to and from the parks on the busses so I was wondering how Art of Animation compares. I know a while back there were some questions if they had their own dedicated busses or if they shared with the All Star resorts, so I just wanted to check and see if they have a solid and timely bus system to depend on like POPs usually is. Thanks!

We stayed at POP in June 09' & the buses were very efficient. We had a split stay at AOA/POP in September & thought that the buses were much more efficient at POP than AOA. We also thought that even though it is a slower time of year in Sept. that the buses at POP were more efficient on our June stay than in Sept. Although, you can always ride the faster bus back & if it's not your resort you can just walk over the bridge.

That's true, but after a 12 hour day in the parks walking any further than I have to really becomes an issue haha

We have stayed at both resorts and did not notice a significant difference in bus service. There were a couple occasions, though, that we took the Pop bus back from the parks because of AoA bus stop was pretty crowded. Having that option was nice and the walk from the Pop bus stop to AoA is not bad at all.

How long is the walk over the bridge? My family are going in September and half of us will be in AOA and the other half in pop. I told them we could meet up every morning, "its just a quick walk over the bridge" lol
However I have no idea. SO please prepare me if Im going to hear it when I get there.

We also took whichever bus was there... so being able to take a Pop bus or a AOA bus it gave us lots of options... and on New Years week... we never really waited for a bus! Personally I think the transportation to both resorts are great... with the 2 stops option it really helps... Also the walk over from Pop is 5 min and very pleasant.

You're right it's just a quick walk over the bridge.:D Just walk through the middle of both resorts & you're at the bridge.

I can't say first hand because when we stayed at AOA, we didn't use the buses. However, when we were at WDW in September 2012, the line, like the line for PORS/POFQ, was so long it was out of the ques at the Magic Kingdom. IMO, I think no matter where you stay, if you have to deal with the buses, its going to be an experience. And not usually a positive one. My DH and I had an awful experience with the buses during our September trip.

Wow I wish I had your patience.I would never get from one resort to another by dinner.. LOL

We started our first hour of our vacation waiting for the bus. Nice way to start a trip, but met a few nice people waiting longer than us...
I should have added, If it wasn't that Earl Sandwich my wife has been craving for the last 3 years, we would have went elsewhere..

Add in some rain, soggy socks, and everyone sticking together b/c we all covered in wet ponchos, well, you've pretty much got my favorite way to kill time at WDW :)

And here I thought we had it rough. Going from BC to Poly in the rain. Only to find out MK Resort Monorail not working and taking a boat ride to the Poly for dinner. Nothing like feeling like you are on the SS ss minnow with a open boat and rain coming in sideways.

Thinking this is how it all ends....but I guess there are worst ways for it all to end.

True, i'd rather be soaked at Disney then any where else in the world! :)
