I think it is nice. The big pool area is very nice as well as the smaller ones. Theming is very well done, I thought the landscaping (with the little pants that look like sea weed) is really cool as well. The reason I chose not to stay there (and at Pop instead) was that it was such a hike to the main building. Now, if you didn't plan on going to the food court a lot and maybe took/ordered your own breakfast snacks for the room it might be okay. Obviously though if you want to stay in an Ariel room, you could make it work and have a great time.

I feel like that hotel is a lot more spread out, where at pop the buildings are packed into a smaller area.

It's a bit of a hike. But I've had worse at the moderates.

We stayed in the LK suites which are a little closer to the main building that the LM rooms. But even at a leisurely pace, I don't think it takes more than 10 minutes. I wouldn't be too discouraged by that.

My main point of contention is that those rooms are never discounted and I would never dream of paying Disney World rack rates. Better to get a discounted room at Pop and then walk over to take in the atmosphere.

The pools are nice, but not nice enough to justify the extra cost of staying in a non-discounted room.

We love the theming and have stayed there twice. The pools are great and the food court is the best QS resort food. The build your own pasta is better than some of the tbale service locations. The walk is long but not bad, as lebeau said there are longer walks in the moderates.

My sister, her DH and their 4-year-old daughter stayed there last year. They did not use a stroller and my sister said the room was fun and the walk to it was pleasant and totally do-able. They had no regrets.

My only gripe with the hotel is that I wish they had the mermaid type rooms in the other sections. I would love to stay in the cars section, but have no need for a family suite. Same goes for the nemo section. Such a lovely hotel. The walk from the mermaid rooms weren't so bad. But the bus ride was always packed.

We have drove the last 2 times and have driven to the parks. We are flying this time, are the bus rides always packed? We will be there in Sept early Oct.

As far as the buses they usually try to pack them in as much as they can due to getting people to the parks. Just my insight on it. Pop does have it's own buses

yeah thats my worry it so far from the buses and after all day at the park in AUg in the heat last thing i wanna do i another hike :)

If the heat is a problem, you can walk about one third of the entire walk between the LM rooms and the main building through the hallway of one of the Lion King buildings, it is lying parallel to the walk outside and of course airconditioned. When we were staying at the AoA we took this sidepath a lot. Use the entrance at one end (not the main entrance of course) and walk strait thru.
