Update: Arrghh there might go my dec trip

Had a trip all priced out with my cousin in December. About to book this weekend. Now she has car troubles that will cost the amt of the trip.
Glad this happened before we book the trip. She wont be able to go.
But I am still sad.
I just sent an email to her sister I hope she can do it but i think it will be too pricey for her.

:( sob sob :(

Hopefully your sister will be able to go, but if not I have two words for ya...Solo Trip! I was in the same boat last December after my friend pulled out on me at the 11th hour. I just sucked it up and went by myself and had a blast. I suggest that you really consider going it alone if things do not work out with your sister.

I have done several solo trips since my wife died 3 years ago. While the experence is different (like going the first time without kids) it is still fun. Remember, most people attending and working at Disney are FUN-loving people so the atmosphere is contagious. I've met people I never would have spoken to if with someone. My advice to folks going solo - don't be shy and feel free to interact with strangers.

Im sorry to hear about your wife and I am glad you are enjoying Disney World. I have done a solo trip once and loved it. Do want you want when you want.

I'm sure a solo trip would be fun but there's nothing like the thrill of being able to take a friend or family member to WDW, especially if you know they're gonna have a great time. Is there anyway you can help your cousin out at all?

If it comes down to it, you could go by yourself and maybe meet up with others travelling from these boards (if you like). Watch for the December 2008 travel thread, there could be other solo travellers.

Unfortunetely I dont have sisters, i only have a severely handicapped brother. I am kinda like an only child, I am always alone. Ansd much to shy to go by myself.

Well cousin #2 sounds like she is she isnt too interested (she makes way way more money then me and says its too expensive for her? Hmm)
Disney has taken my tax refund and this trip would be my stimulus package lol

barf

cousin #1 car problems will cost more then $1000 gulp.

I'm a shy only child too, I think you would enjoy a solo trip. It seems to be easier for people like us to deal with being alone, than someone that has always had someone around them. Whatever you decide I'm sure it will work out, but I really do wish you would consider a solo trip.

BTW, I misread your earlier post, I thought you were referring to your sister, not your cousins. My bad! :D
