argh - Ankle will probably be in a boot

Good morning all and hope everyone had a nice Christmas. So we leave two weeks from today. My husband, 9 month old and 6 year old. So a nice sized crew. With a double stroller already rented (yes, I know). Anyway, on Christmas day I stepped on a toy and hurt my ankle. It is highly likely that I will be in a boot while at Disney. Of course all I can think about it how awful this is and have a mini pitty party. Has anyone dealt with this while at disney? Any advice for me? Thanks much.

Sorry about your accident. Your husband now is solely in charge of the stroller. You can rent an ecv from an offsite agency. These are delivered to your resort, so you have it 24/7 during your stay. Most attractions are ecv accessible. A few will require you to transfer to one of their wheelchairs to navigate the queue.

Or you could just rent the park ecvs, but these can't leave the park, so you'd be out of luck at your resort ( will you also have a pair of crutches to use?)

Some people have used a knee walker ( Google it) instead of going motorized. You would have to check around to see if they are available where you live.

The good news is that your injury won't prevent you from going on any of the attractions. Have a great trip.

I did that last year while in Disney for training with all our agents. I broke my pinky toe & had a heel procedure on the same foot :) That boot gives you more mobility than you think it will, plus hanging on to your stroller gives you balance. I didn't do the ECV because I like to be standing and looking rather than looking at people's backs while I drive. Just take it slow, and rest when you can. Think of it as being forced to take it slow and enjoy all the details while you're there.

Thank you. This is exactly what i needed to hear. Also my parents may now be joining us as well so that could help.
