Ok.The big day comes around..The planning is complete and your off.But how long does it take you to get to your resort from your departure,including driving,flying,walking,etc.Do your kids get restless, and keep asking that ever ending question." Are we there yet "..? It takes us approx 34 hours from our house to PORS. ( driving & flying ) ..

My kids know if that phrase comes out of their mouths they will get dropped at the nearest Greyhound and shipped to grandma's! They travel with portable dvd players and hand held video games and a Kindle so we don't even hear from them at all!

When our DD was little she always read or went to sleep the whole way. She was a very patient little girl. Now she flies everywhere instead of driving cause she's impatient to drive!! Go figure!

Got it down. 45 minutes to the airport, an hour early since KCI is easy with security, hour and 15 to Atlanta, 50 min. layover, 45 min. flight to orlando, a quick 10 min. skipping gallop, sliding down the escalators to DME on the bottom floor, 15 in line, hour for DME and check in. About six hours total, which is just about enough time to leave the real world behind and sink into a Disney stupor for the week. Ahhh, I love that first glimpse of the Mickey hands on the DME greeter. Wish I was there now.

We have it good...

2-1/2 hour drive from our driveway in Fort Lauderdale to the parking lot of the Port Orleans French Quarter!

6 hour drive from our front door to the World! Keep the DVD's queued up for the kids and we're good!

2.5 to 3 hour drive to major airport. We get to the airport an hour and a half early for security and a snack, around a 2 hour and 20 minute flight to MCO (usually direct, sometimes a brief layover in ATL), then the DME to WDW. Start to finish we usually are looking at 8-10 hours from doorstep to park dash.

We drive and it takes anywhere from 9-10 hours depending on how much of a hurry we are in. We stop along the way and stretch our legs, get breakfast and lunch and always stop at the Florida Welcome Center for our little cup of orange juice and to stock up on brochures.

if we fly we are at the resort in under 4hrs but when we drive 14-15hrs

2 and 1/2 hours our door to POFQ! We live in Lake Worth FL.

Leave the house at 6am for my 7:28 flight, land at 10:15, DME to resort, all checked in by 11:00am.

5:00 AM flight - Resort check in by 12:30. Yay!!!! Then off to one of the parks for lunch.

OUCH!!! 34 hours?!?!?!? From our hotel (right next to the airport), security, flying, and DME it takes us about 4 hrs

It depends on whether we stay overnight on the way down or drive straight through. Without stopping for the night it's a 21 hour drive from southern Wisconsin to WDW.

14 hour drive here. I guess when we get to the state of Florida, the boys begin saying " Are we there yet?".
We may fly this year though, so they'll enjoy the 2 1/2 hours ( they've never flown before).

10.5 hour drive for us. North Alabama to Central FL. Thankfully our DD is a seasoned "rider". My husband loves me because I was "trained" right by years of 18 hour drives only stopping for gas to Kansas when I was growing up. So we usually only stop 2 times in a 10.5 hour drive, maybe 3.

If we take the 7:35a CT flight on United out of Bush in Houston- I have to leave the house between 5:30-5:45a to get there. If all is running on time and DME is also running on time, we'll get to our resort between 12:30-12:45p ET. So, about 6 hours if we fly.

If we drive...if it's anything like our attempts to drive straight through this past Nov...about 16 to 17 hours with bathroom stops, gas stops, and a few meal breaks or mini breaks to rest our eyes. We can stop for the night between Mobile, AL and Pensacola, FL and the drive time is the same but obviously it takes longer b/c we're actually stopping for the night.

have not driven.....yet...that may change in 414 days when we go back to WDW....so, we leave greensboro at about 9 am, get to the raliegh airport at 1030...flight leaves usually around 1230 and we land at two...check in by 330 or so...so about 6 to 7 hours total from leaving house to getting into our hotel room
