Are there changes coming to Illuminations pyro?

At first towards the middle of the show I thought Epcot was having a pyro failure, but I noticed some changes as well with some of the pyro. I was wondering if they were doing some work to the show, this seems to be the time of year for them to make changes and improvements.

The pyro had a bit of an overall a last year I believe. When i visited May 2014, it was very different pyro design wise from summer 2013.

Edit:

from watching video, around 8 minute mark it looks like their is a pyro failure, and pyro does not go off.. and then we it does start to sync back up, only a few barges are working.

I'm not sure if it is a permanent change or something due to weather/supply issues, but on Sunday (January 10) the perimeter launches were done from the barges instead of along the lagoon shoreline. It was very humid during the day and rained the night before, but it didn't seem especially windy. I've never seen this before (either in person or in video), so I'm not sure why the change was made. It can be seen in this video during all 3 usually-perimeter launches, at 8:26, 9:18, and 11:42

I also watched the show last Wednesday (January 6) and the perimeter pyro worked exactly as normal (no inferno barge, though), so perhaps it was a one night thing. It was the day of the marathon, which runs its final mile through World Showcase with the torches lit, so perhaps that was somehow related?

For the past 3 years the standard alternate for the sea wall comets in case of high winds is to load them on to the barges instead of the sea wall. In the past, in the case of high winds, the comets would not be used at all and there was nothing for the first 2 comet cues. The last comet cue used to use mines from the barges instead. Now all cues still use comets, but from the barges in the event of high winds. On rare occasions, like special shows you can see both locations used. Or even 2 or 3 comets on a single cue from a single sea wall location.
