Are there any changes to this years Princess & Pirates parties?

Went Saturday night and here's my "mini" report.

- Only 1 parade, and 2 Dream along with Mickey shows (and of course the one fireworks show). HOWEVER unlike previous parties (having show/parade/fireworks times printed on the maps) there was a special times guide for this party, leaving me to believe maybe on more popular nights they'll do extra parades/fireworks although thats nothing more than my guess.

- NO CANDY. Everyone was giving out plastic beads, although at the start of the party there was a few stops giving out those little plastic jewels they have for the fill a skull/chests or the small bags in the pirate shops. Those places were beads by the end of the party (I went back to try to get more). I stopped at every stop, and was told by a cm I know the candy is gone and most likely won't be back.

- NO MK Event music CDs to be found ANYwhere. I was told a few days prior it was an event only item, but on the night of the party most cast members had no clue what I was talking about (including CMs in stores I saw the CD for sale in last fall at the NSSHP). The ones that did referred me to Main street to the Cinema or Emperorum. Emp was sold out and the Cinema was closed :brick:.

- *Aparently* NO PRINCES. I didn't do any characters myself that night (started with family, was suposted to meet family with small kids but that didn't work out so me and the family just did the treasure and a few rides/parade/fireworks). I ran into a CM friend who was doing just characters that night and she said she hadn't seen a single prince.

We also went on the 26th. We recieved a few "jewels" and then the rest were beads.

I purchased the special events CD the next day at the briar patch shop next to the closed splash mountain.

I would have to say that the fireworks display and the smoke coming from the castle was the best show disney has put together. My opinion is: it beats wishes and illuminations hands down.

- *Aparently* NO PRINCES.

They were scheduled to be out but I guess not. My guess is that until Pirates and Princesses become popular, it doesn't pay to pay the princes to stay. That is 6 extra mouths to feed...so to speak.

Understanding that this is the slowest time of year for the parks, 5 minutes before the parade, Town Square was practically empty during the PnPP.

Poor Princess Jasmine almost fell off her horse. That was awkward. Riding side saddle...oye.
