are the parks busier on emh days?
so if mk is offering emh is it busy all day through to the closing, or is it busy up until the emh, or busy just in the emh?
sorry to the many questions but im trip planning, and not sure if you do a park offering the emh for the whole day, or just visit the emh times.
hope someone can help.....thanks

I don't know for sure if they're busier or not, but to us it at least seems like they are. We almost always utilize the extra morning hour because you can get so much done. And then we tend to leave the park by mid morning in favor of another park or lunch at a resort. Same goes with evening EMH, but I think they tend to be busier because other parks are closed and it becomes the only option; whereas in the morning people must just be sleeping in .

I don't tend to find the actual EMH times (especially morning) to be very busy.

In all honesty though, we never stay in the same park all day long; we much prefer to hop... so magic hours or not that would be my suggestion.

IMO EMH will make the park busier. In the morning you will find that an EMH park has a larger crowd but numbers will probably start to drop early into the afternoon. For an evening EMH park, you will notice that the numbers start to pick up towards the 'regular' closing time and then they will drop off again through the night.

As a general rule I avoid EMH parks (unless visiting specifically for EMH) but you can play against the flow by visiting an Evening EMH park in the morning and visa-versa.

Of course, all this isn't really fact, any number of things can change how the crowds build and move.

What we do is go to the park with early opening hours and visit the attractions that we know will be crowded later in the day. Once the park opens to the public and starts to fill up, we park hop to another park. This way we get the best of both the early hours and avoid the crowds.

I personally avoid the parks that have morning EMH ALWAYS. It also depends if your going to utilize EMH. You can always go to the first hour of a park and then switch, but I usually find it does not help a ton. I believe that morning EMH are the devil. =D

If you check touringplans, they always seem to list the EMH parks as the park to avoid that day. I always assumed you could do so much in the morning EMH that this was worth going to that park. We always head back to the pool by 2 PM anyways but am wondering if we are better off avoiding the EMH park altogether, if the numbers are lighter at the non-EMH parks?

I have found out that if you go to MEMH at 8 the crowds are very manageable, but around 10:30 to 11:00 it seems like the crowds a huge. The opposite is true in the evening, the first hour of EEMH is crowded, but normally by the third hour it has slacked off a lot.
