Are rides cleaned at night?

Im pretty big on hygiene and always have hand gel with me at work (I have to go hands on with a lot of people with... erm... a more lax attitude to hygiene. But at WDW I just generally wash ,y hands before I eat and try not to touch my face

I am rather OCD myself and I am one who always has hand sanitizer at hand as well. (I would like to second what was said earlier, though -- always use alcohol-based sanitizer. Never use the anti-bacterial products with triclosan. You're hurting yourself in the long run with those.)

That being said, when you're in a place like Disney World, you just have to accept that things are not particularly clean and there's not much you can do about it. Wash your hands with soap and water after using the restroom and before eating. Maybe use some hand sanitizer every now and then. But other than that, just accept that you're going to be exposed to tons of germs and your immune system will likely handle them just fine. Put it out of your mind, move on, and have fun.

True story but gross. In the darkness of The Seas queue, some of us managed to step in vomit. Fortunately we wear crocs and don't have to touch our shoes. My dad must have forgot about it and removed his sneakers by hand later that night. He got so sick. He was in bed for days. Ruined the end of his vacation.

Evidently, not well enough. I know cast members do a great job picking up trash in ride vehicles and generally along the ride path, but I'd argue the rides are too dirty.

Of course, this is thanks to disgusting guests who spit, throw trash, and are generally slobs on rides.

I swear, the "glass" screens in front of mission control on Space Mountain at the top of the ramp have never been cleaned.

Guests are turning into slobs unfortunately. Flinging hair elastics on Everest, trash in ride vehicles, etc.
