Are Mickey and Minnie's Houses doomed?

Just get your vaccine when you're able and hope everyone else does too.
Nope, no vaccine for me. I've only been to DL once and I liked it but my home is WDW. I don't think WDW would ever close but then again I said that when this wuhan virus came to the States. Only time will tell if the Mouse survives in CA and how much will be taken away from him in Florida.

I got my first dose of the Moderna vaccine on Friday. The only side effect so far is being even more put off by racists.

No
I am now on my second trip to WDW since the pandemic began, so my thoughts based on how things have been done here...

No, I don't expect the houses to close. I would expect them to likely reopen with a limited capacity, social distancing markers, and no touching anything (nothing in Toontown I would expect to work for touching actually). Since Mickey and Minnie can be safely seen from a distance in the houses, I would expect them to open immediately. Donald's boat I would think is going to stay closed temporarily. No playgrounds are open here.

Another comment I saw was on plexiglass. If you've got a phobia of plexiglass, then stay away, but if you prefer the parks to open, then get used to plexiglass. Here, it is primarily used when social distancing is impossible, usually in queues. I would expect it to be used more heavily since our queues can run down the street and that's not going to be feasible in DL. Most of the attractions don't have plexiglass on the actual ride; the ones that comes to mind are TofT (in between rows) Soarin', and RotR.

So many Californians here right now. Seeing a ton of DL sweatshirts/t-shirts. I guess a lot of people miss the parks and need the fix.
