Are Mickey and Minnie's Houses doomed?

Yeah I know. The alternative however is a little more depressing. Now I’d agree that it may not be the best time to spend the money to go there. I’m supposed to pay the balance for my trip tmrw. Probably going to do so just to keep it alive. It’s refundable until the day before check in

Just reschedule it for Universal...

You can Ride the Movies! You can't do that at Disney...

Rumor has it that many parts of Disneyland will be forever impacted by the pandemic when(/if) it reopens, and that the removal of Annual Passes is only the beginning, if WDW is anything to go by. Such impacts are obviously a result of social distancing measures in place. In addition to APs, there are also the rumors of the removals of both Fastpass and Single Rider, live shows and character meet-n-greets.

To that end, there are also rumors that some attractions may not be long for this world, including the submarines, which apparently are terrible at social distancing. But between that and the suspension of character meet-n-greets, are Mickey and Minnie's Houses also doomed to Yesterland as a result of the pandemic? I really hope not.
Everything depends on the pandemic. Most are saying with the vaccine its going to end this year. I think once its over, Disney and everyone else will be going back to normal as fast as they can and as fast as their finances will let them. If the pandemic doesn't go away then we probably have bigger problems than worrying about a vacation spot.

If that's the case, then they might just as well wait until the pandemic ends completely and social distancing ends completely, after which they're going to feel extremely foolish for setting up social distancing measures only to discover they weren't needed after all. Why use something if you're not going to need it?

There is no when or if...there is no way Disneyland will ever reopen. All of Disneyland will now be called Yesterland.

Oh my god.

I usually don't like referring to people online by anything other than their names, but baby. Honey. Sweetie. Chile. We were being sarcastic for an effect that clearly did not work. You are worrying about things that you really shouldn't. You will only drive yourself crazy.

Where did this so-called "rumor" of the Toontown homes going away come from? I have the idea that you spent a lot of time thinking about possible scenarios and made this up in your head. I could be wrong, correct me if I'm wrong.

Just relax, please. The parks will reopen when they reopen. If the parks open without previous attractions, then it is what it is. But let's wait and see and refrain from trying to predict what will happen.

They're joking, but everything will now require a sign that lays out how you could possibly get infected with COVID. It'll be on lampposts, ride vehicles, just outside of ride entrances, all hats sold at the park, etc, etc. etc.

It was passed into law with Proposition 4/1 this election, if you want to read more on this totally real Californian law.

That why I wonder why they are requiring park reservations at least until the end of the year. Disney doesn't want to limit people in the parks. The more people they can cram in the parks is more money they will be taking in.

Cool. So it will be right next to the signs saying if you lick this wall, you might get cancer?

There is no way to know what changes will be made when Disneyland finally re opens ( hopefully by December 2021) but one thing we can be sure of, Disneyparks will take any and all advantage and use the pandemic to make changes they always wanted to make but did not know how to justify them... until now..

Sarcasm? Never! Parks are closing forever!
