How on earth would/could you know this? Disney certainly wouldn't announce such info.

I find it hard to believe that this is happening. Surely, as Monty said, Disney wouldn't be releasing that kind of information even IF it was true.

While I'm sure there are a handful of people who have changed their travel plans, its rumors and thinking like this which cause unneccesary panic.

Wash your hands, cover your mouth when you cough, and calm down!

Phrase it differently then.

"My friends and family have said that they've seen people at disney checking out early because of swine flu. Anyone see this happening who are there/live in the area?"

Without any proof, it is meaningless speculation and just continues to foment the hype around this. I'd rather hear the latest ramblings from a bus driver. Probably be more accurate.

Thats what my Friends and Family told me so im just putting up what i heard. So no need to get angry with me lol.

I'm not angry, just incredulous. "Many" people checking out of the resorts for any single reason is not something even Disney themselves would necessarily know and certainly wouldn't advertise if they did. Now that you've indicated that your information is anecdotal, it becomes apparent the question should have been asked "Are a lot people checking out early because of perceived Swine Flu risk? My family and friends claim they saw it happening." What you posted was presented as fact.

We'll be there May 17-24 but decided to change our wardrobe.

the crowds are light to medium at best right now :)

everyone coming will have lines, but not the kind of lines that will make you want to pull your hair out

Seriously? That's good to hear. With touring plans having today as a 9/10 for crowd size, I was getting worried about my trip next week. I have been waiting to hear if anyone has been in the parks the past few days to confirm or deny the projected crowd size.

RIGHT, so you check out early @ WDW just to stand in a LONG security line at Orlando Airport then board full flight planes with passengers. Gee that gives so much more of a safer feeling :lookaroun Duckberg

I changed the title, and the answer seems to be no. Unless someone has factual information to the contrary, please don't post more general discussion, as we already have enough threads on this topic. Thank you.

BTW, there HAVE been two confirmed cases in FL - one in the Tallahasee area, the other in the Ft Lauderdale area - hundreds of miles apart, and hundreds of miles from WDW.

We just got back from a week trip. The crowds seemed to be the same as they were last year and the Orlando airport was packed. If people are leaving due to the swine flu, then it's not much different than people leaving for any other flu.....
