We'll be there May 17-24 but decided to change our wardrobe.

Cool. You should qualify as an attraction, and get in free!

There was the case of the Mexican girl who was at Disney last week with the swine flu as well. And before people freak out, she stayed in her hotel room (which was off property) and took Tamiflu and is doing much better. She didn't even pass it on to her family, with whom she had very close contact.

As of this morning there are still no confirmed swine flu cases in any of the central Florida counties.

Even the girl mentioned in the other posts has not been confirmed with swine flu. She also is not in the area and continued on with her vacation according to local papers so was not even quarantined.

Seriously? That's good to hear. With touring plans having today as a 9/10 for crowd size, I was getting worried about my trip next week. I have been waiting to hear if anyone has been in the parks the past few days to confirm or deny the projected crowd size.

Not true.

Resorts are still packed.
and so are the theme parks.

Theme Parks haven't really been too packed as of late as reports on here have said, plus I saw the diminished crowd levels first hand yeserday.

We went to AK and MK yesterday. Longest wait we saw at Everest was 40 mins, we waited 20 minutes for Kilomajaro, 15 for Dinosaur, etc...didn't feel like Nemo yesterday.

We got to the MK parking lot at around 4:15..they were still parking Daisy...which is normally filled by or around 10am (trust me, we go atleast twice a month and somehow always get there around 10am and either just make or just miss parking in Daisy). The Dwarf parking lots were not used yesterday...infact only Goofy, Pluto, Daisy, and 1/4 of Donald were used.

Walkways around 5pm at MK were WIDE OPEN. Haunted Mansion 5 minutes, Buzz Lightyear 10, Dumbo 20, Peter Pan was 45 with FPs only 2 hrs out (didn't walk into Frontierland or Adventureland. Would have been a great night to stay on property for EMH...too bad Space is closed!

At both parks we had front row viewing for the parades...actually at AK the closet group to us while viewing the parade was about 5 feet away on either side...VERY NICE way to watch a parade! The performers are ALOT more personable when the crowds are small.

Had lunch at Coronado Springs...seemed oddly quiet...

I'm not saying attendance was down because of this flu scare (even though I wish it was!) This is just a slow time of year with holidays/spring breaks being over. Should remain slow until Memorial day. Then after that it should be somewhat quiet until the 3rd week of June-ish... Infact we might go out there again next weekend or the weekend before Memorial Day. it was a very pleasant day!
