I don't know about you guys, but I love a good craft. I am an avid crafter and love to create unique items for our Disney trips. Last trip I created tie dye t-shirts for my daughter and I to wear and I made her autograph book. I still have plans on scrapbooking all of our trips but have yet to get around to it. :) For our upcoming trip, I am making shirts again but this time for the whole family. I am sewing Mickey Heads onto our shirts and embroidering our names on them. I am also going to be cutting Mickey heads out of fabric for characters to sign and then create a quilt out of the mickey heads for my daughter. How many of you out there are crafty and feel free to share your ideas for fun Disney inspired craft ideas!

This was the tie dye shirt I made for our last shirt. Still working on the ones for this trip. I never took a pic of the autograph book.

I'm gearing up to leave for our next trip this weekend! I've spent a lot of time on crafts for this trip for my 6 year old DS. I made him a custom autograph book which will become a scrapbook for the autograph and picture of the character interaction. But my big project has been a schedule book to outline each day of our trip including resort, parks, transportation, and dining pics and info. DS is autistic and does soooo much better if he knows ahead of time what to expect. The book was a huge job, but has come out so well and will be a great reminder of our trip in the days/years to come.

I made some pillow case dresses from the Minnie print fabric, the were so cool and comfy for them. I also make custom bows and Minnie headbands. My Mother is an avid garage saler and we were amassing a large amount of Mickey ears from the
Parks. I took them apart and attached the ears to a soft headband. Then I made a loop for a bow to be attached. They were/are perfect for Babies and the bow can be changed out to match other outfits. If you squint you can see it in my profile picture. While in the parks I would get ake, even by CM's were I found them. A CM told me I needed to go to Town Hall and show them the head band because it looked so good.
Love the aotugraph book and tie dyed shirt! You are very creative:)

Fun! I have bought a few items to give to my DD for the trip down as a fun way to build the excitement. Last night we watched Little Mermaid 1 and 2 and had a blast talking about what all we are gonna do while down there. We are at 150 days!
For trip 1: I'm about 151 days (9/12-16)...wow, I just did the math...147 days!!!

I would like to craft, but I don't sew- hot glue guns scare me- and my attempts to bling up things with a hot fix iron were disappointing. I also really don't have much time. On most weekdays I am out the front door by 6:45a, don't get back with the girls until 5:30p, after homework/reading/dinner it's bed time 7-7:30p, I try and get in a few miles of walking before the sun sets followed up by weights and abs, and then some rest before I'm in bed and up again at 5:30a to start all over again. :(

About the only craft thing I do, if you count it as one, I make a countdown calendar. I copy off each month of the calendar leading up to the trip. Then in each square, I draw in each day something to do with Disney. A Disney ride, character, resort, event. Number the days left. Each day that I look at the date and cross it off, I think about that days ride, character, resort, attraction, event. Helps pass the time. 143 days left at this point. Today I thought about China at the WS all day.
