April Crowds

So I know we have late Easter this year, so I expect Disney to be at its peak crowd later this month, but are we still on Spring Breaks or is there another event?

I looked at MK and there is currently:

Space Mountain: 120 min
Buzz: 85 min
Jungle Cruise: 75 min
Mine Train: 150 min
Haunted Mansion: 65 min
Test Track: 135 min
RNR: 90 min

What am I missing? We are planning a trip in May and are hoping it will be better. I always say, Disney is either crowded or insane, but it seems to be insane all the time now. Maybe I missed an event or holiday in early April?

Is it 5:00 yet?
Isn't school going to be basically over after Easter? Or are a ton of places on year around school now?
My son goes to school until the end of May and starts back the 2nd week of August. Those time frames vary as well. When I went to WDW in early June 2015 the Orlando schools weren't out for the summer yet.

He gets spring break and then is done with school like 3 weeks later? Lol...schools these days.

Northeast schools are having Spring Break this week and then the next two as well. It varies by state but this is typically the beginning of those breaks. After Easter and maybe the first week of May should see it calm a bit but then comes the busy season until September

Why don't they just fix the week of spring break? Seems strange to correlate with Easter.
No idea. That's how it's done here. Now when I was in college it was at a different time. I want to say it was always in March. It's been 17 years so my memory might be a little off though..lol

Our public schools here usually have the second or third week of April off, regardless of when Easter falls. They also don't get out til mid to late June, depending on snow days.

Dark side 1/2 marathon is also weekend of 4/21. So I would expect "higher than normal" crowds (whatever that means these days). I currently have a trip planned for that weekend.

I guess at this point there really isn't much of an off-season for Disney it's just all about being strategic with your planning and deciding on what you must do compared to what you can miss.

Our schools have spring break either the 2nd or 3rd week in March every year. It is kind of dumb to plan it around Easter since the dates can vary so much.

It has seemed like an endless Spring Break this year. Started earlier in March, and yet we haven't even hit the bulk weeks of it yet when the highest numbers of schools are out.
That's what is confusing me. I thought spring break is pretty much done by April and people are talking about Spring Break after Easter. I guess that's the issue at the parks.

Any Christian based private school will correlate their Spring Break with Easter.
We don't have a "Spring Break", we have an "Easter Break". Last year it was a 3 day weekend (only Good Friday off), this year we actually have Friday- Tuesday woot woot!!!!lol
A lot of people go out of town during that time and just have their kids miss a few days of school.
