LMAO!!! My wife is complaining because I made the TiVo go up to 69% full after taping all the disney shows on Travel channel yesterday.:ROFLOL: I'm about to sit back now after getting home from work and having dinner, and watching this stuff all night. We leave the 12th for Disney ourselves so this is gonna have to hold me over until then.:D

Pioneering the Universe Within!
It was hard to pick which resort to stay at for our trip...in the end the prospect of seeing animals at AKL sealed the deal for us, but watching the Beach Club show, already has me thinking about that resort or the Polyenisian the next time we go--and we still have almost two months until our trip!! :hammer: I like the beach type pool--how fun!! My only complaint with the series is that they don't keep her room size consistent. We watched the GF and she stayed in a standard or maybe deluxe room so when they showed the AKL we were so excited to see her concierge level room (we haved booked a std Kilamanjaro Club room), but she was in a 2 bedroom suite...My husband and I just looked at each other, because we KNOW how much that cost!!!

The one thing that annoyed me was that she kept saying how those deluxe resorts also had "value priced rooms." I would love to know in what universe a value priced room costs $215 a night.

I have to say the shows did add some very nice updates, it was quite a fun day to watch tv.

Though I did notice the Lava Monster from Tokyo DisneySeas Journey To the Center of the Earth. I seriously hope AK get's it since it's one of the best attractions out there.

Just follow this link and scroll down to see what the Lava Monster looks like.

It's the most trippendicular movie ever!! :king:

haha! and it was on VH1 Classic yesterday. I gotta get it on DVD. Nothing like a young Nic Cage with punk hair and that crazy hair patch on the chest. hehe

Ok not totally jacked this thread...

I was so happy to see some new footage, in the beginning I knew I had seen most of it before then they added in the Monsters, Everest and Nemo stuff. Was pretty cool. Made me wanna go back ASAP! Next month for sure!

Yay! :sohappy:

Will the Travel Channel Re-run the Disney Marathon?

What a bummer...I completly missed the Disney marathon on the travel channel. Does anyone know if they will re-run it? Or at least pieces of it?

Did anyone happen to record the Modern Marvels episode on the History Channel? If so, will you be posting it anywhere that I could download it? I have all of the others on my hard drive, got them from Mousebits.com. I would sure love to add this one to my collection.

I got the modern marvels special from isohunt.com a couple of months ago.

I missed it when it was on last week. I have seen them all before but I just can't get enough of them. But watching them in High Def is a real treat. I always watch it when they are in HD.

I had seen them all several times before, also, but there was actually some updated footage this time - Finding Nemo, Expedition Everest, Motor Stunt Show - I stayed up until midnight!!

I'm not believing you guys didn't notice this...

I just got done watching the new Animal Kingdom special on Travel Channel (they must be airing some of the shows again during the wee hours of the morning), and noticed something VERY interesting at the end. Now I won't look too much into this, BUT I'm sure of what I saw...

I'm sure you guys remember the end of the show where they had Joe Rohde and Meg Crofton saying how great the future possibilities are, yet saying nothing specific. Do you guys remember seeing a quick computer-rendered animation? I do. It was the lava monster from Journey to the Center of the Earth!!!!!

I know it sounds crazy, but if you don't believe me, just watch the special again and you should notice it. I am 99.999% sure that this is what I saw, and would definitely not make it up (besides, it isn't April 1st anymore!). Please don't flame me. If you don't believe it, check it out.

By the way, if this was posted elsewhere, I didn't see it, and I looked through this entire thread and did a search.

I have watched and re watched the end of the special, and though the final segment dealing with the VERY exciting and bright future of WDW MUST be seen by all WDW fans...I STILL did not see the computer animation of the lava monster. Are you STILL 99.9999999% certain that it was the lava monster that filled your television screen and not something random?:veryconfu

When they replay in my area, it looks like only one is in HD, and it's not the new animal kingdom one.

We've got the travel channel, and the Discovery HD - is there another Travel Channel HD channel?
