April 08 hours are out-question on MK hours

The April hours are out now, which means I can really start planning what we're going to be doing on our April 20-27 trip (woohoo!) I made a tentative plan based on April 07 hours, and while they are similar there is a big difference on two Wednesdays at the MK. April 16 and 23 both have hours of 9-7 with no special events scheduled. I know Fridays and Saturdays in late April have shorter hours because of Grad. Night, but why the shorter hours on Wednedsay?

I asked this same question on the trip planning page ... April 1 and 4 also have a 7 pm MK close with no Wishes those nights. I am hoping for some P&P parties since I missed them by a week last year!

It could be a typo, but there are a bunch of dates in Jan, Feb, March and now April with closing times of 7. So far, as far as I know, they haven't released any dates for the P&P parties. I really hope that is the answer, since I'm sure my kids would love it.

Frankly, I was surprised that the parks are open as late as they are in April...at least the week I'm going, which is the 13-21. Since Easter is on March 23, I thought the parks would close at 7ish or 8ish on the week that I go. But instead, MK closes at 11 PM several of those nights and MGM closes as late as 10 on some of the nights.

I just thought that the bulk of the Easter/spring break rush would be over by then. But as someone else reminded me, some of the New England states have school spring break at that time, so maybe that accounts for the late hours.

But I sure wish that Universal and Sea World would do their hours 6 months out like Disney does, because I'm quickly getting frustrated with getting on their websites to see what hours they will open in April only to find that NONE of their 2008 hours are out.

I guess that would explain the OVERWHELMING number of "red people" there last year. I have to remember to pack a Yankees shirt for the next trip. :D

I don't think there is ever a time you can go to Florida and not find a lot of members of Red Sox Nation. Have you ever seen a Sox-DRays game at Tampa? The place is so packed with Sox fans, we call it Fenway South.

Red Sox vs Yankees

Our trip is planned for April 21, which is the Patriot's Day Holiday week in Massachusetts. Unless it falls during Easter, it's usually a great week to vacation. I just found out that this week is also Passover and many of the New York and New Jersey schools have off also. I'm sure our group will proudly display the Red Sox gear!
