There is a lot of new data now on the details for the SSE Rehab including a new narrator, new musical score, and new ride screens in the vehicles. Do you think after these and all other changes that you will approve of Spaceship Earth after rehab?

The one thing that would make the rehab excellent is to remove the wand! I know... Wishful thinking... One can always hope!

I think this rehab shows a lot of promise. It looks like SSE is going to get the attention it deserves and so desperately needs.

I look forward to hearing the new score and narration. Nothing better than new Disney theme park music!

It's HarmonioUS, NOT HarmoniYOU.
Yes... because anything is better than its current state; bumpy track, low or no in car audio... etc..

Based on what's known, I think the potential is there to be fantastic- I hope that the result will live up to the high expectations.

In short, yes. :)

I think the only complaint I've heard thus far is that it has to be taken down to get it done....which is pretty standard for a rehab this big.

Space Ship Earth is one of the Last attractions that reminds me what EPCOT was. I do not like people messing with it.

I would not say Space is better than Horizons.

or

Test Track is better than the World of Motion.

Same reasoning tells me I will be disappointed with anything done to Space Ship Earth.

Thanks Figment..

SSE is a classic that needs some TLC. I am glad the "thrill ride" make over died. It will be nice to see some technology upgrades and scene updates. You see, I love classic disney dark/couch rides and they will always have their place in the parks. I love thrill rides as well. My feeling is that popular classics should be maintained and upgraded (with new technology, narrations, scenes, etc.) but not replaced. Example, I like Mission Space, but I also liked Horizons. They should have coexisted. And look at the Imagination w/Figment flop. That was like "hey guys, let's take this cute popular ride and screw it up with a cheap poor excuse for a make-over." It should of been just spruced up, and maybe add some new tech. Now if COP ever goes away, I will become suicidal.
OK, off my famous soap box for now. The bottom line and answer to the actual question is; Yes, I'll be glad to see some updates/upgrades to SSE!:sohappy:

So far I'm very excited about what I hear so far. :sohappy: I still love SE in its current form, but it sounds like this is going to be done in the original Epcot spirit of hopeful futurism.

So far I'm excited, as much as I may miss some of the old ride elements, I think the improvements are necessary, and it looks like they are staying true to the spirit of what Spaceship Earth should be. I can't wait to see the final product!! As noted in previous posts, the thought of a new ride score may be the most exciting part!!

hmm

The compalints are not really that its going down. The complaints are the timing that it is going down.

Anyways. As long as the refurb keeps the feel of the ride then ill be ok .If it totally changes the feel of the ride then I will be upset.

I don't think Spaceship Earth was ever addicted to any substances, so I believe the term is "Referb".

You'd be surprised! That Spaceship Earth gets a "round" :ROFLOL: < /corny>

In "Disney-speak" when attractions go down for refurbishment they're said to be down for rehab...don't know why, but we don't question The Mouse
