Application question

I'm worried about the forms though. I e-mailed my dean to see if she would be my faculty contact. Do we need to submit transcripts or forms or anything? I've read a number of different stories online, and I'm not sure how they do it nowadays. Can anyone who's on a recent program give me any info?

Sorry; another question! How do you choose your roommates? I was told that you are assigned once you are down there, but how are you assigned? I think I'll be assigned to wellness since I'm under 21. What's that like? I don't have anything against drinking, but I prefer not to live with people who do, or do so excessively. Do people in wellness still drink even though it's not allowed, or does everyone pretty much want to be there? I read a story somewhere that all of the people in one wellness apartment were sent home because one person was found to have alcoholic beverages when some people did a random search. Does anyone know about this? What should I do if one of the people I live with has alcohol? I don't want to tell on them, but I don't want to get sent home either. What if someone is busted and I didn't know anything about it? Sorry for all the questions, and thanks again for any information!

For chosing roomates, it depends on certain things. If you have someone you want to room with, you stand in line together (but no guarantees). Yes, you do get assigned down in Florida. That happens the day you check in. If you are under 21, you automatically go into a wellness apartment. If you are over 21, you are normally put into non-wellness. I was in wellness last time, as I was 19 years old on the CP. It was nice. The thing is, they are generally the same EXCEPT- no alcohol whatsoever in a wellness (even if you are over 21 and request to be there). So if there is a search on a wellness, or there is a party in a wellness, and security comes and there is alcohol, all wellness people get sent home. They are VERY strict when it comes to alcohol. So if there is alcohol in an apartment, tell your roomates to get rid of it.

Thanks! I will. I hope everyone plays by the rules.

Also, do I need to do taxes?
How are the toilets?
Do you have to iron your uniforms?
What kind of shoes should I bring?
Should I bring a lamp?
If you could choose a complex, which one would you stay at and why?

Sorry and thanks (?)!!

Sorry I'm butting in on your thread, but I just have one quick question since all you CP pros are here. If I am attending UCF, can I still do my classes and do the program? Like live in the complex, go to class in the day, then come back for my shift?

Probably not because Disney won't guarantee that your shifts are the same every week. It would be very difficult to do, and although they are flexible, they probably won't be that flexible. If you are going to attend UCF, then you should just be part time with the company and live on or near campus. I knew plenty of people who did that. Or just take a semester off to do the CP. But doing both at the same time, probably won't happen, sorry.

The toilets at home are fine- you will all just need to keep them clean.
You don't have to iron the costumes unless you want to. You can just keep returning them to costuming.
The shoes depend on the work location. I wore both black and white shoes last time. They will tell you when you find out your location (lucky for me, I know exactly what I am wearing- costume and shoes.:D )
I would bring a lamp. I did, and it helped at night and in the morning when I didn't want to turn on the main light and disturb my roomie.
I would choose Chatham again. Chatham is newer then Vista, and it seems (to me) that Chatham is more quieter then Vista.

Thanks again for the info! I just got into the acceptance area of the website, and I was looking at all the cool clubs. How in/formal is it, and how much do you have to pay? Should I stop at 1 or 2 clubs? Is that too much? Also, do you have to fill out tax forms while working? I'm just wondering because this is my first real job and I have no idea how. Thanks again!

Sorry; more important question. I have already accepted online. However, I have not yet paid the $62. Am I still registered as accepted, or do I need to pay the $62 within two weeks. The reason I am asking is that I am afraid that if I do not pass one of my classes and am therefore not enrolled as a student, I plan on telling the coordinators anyway, and if I'm not allowed to do the program that $62 would have gone to waste. Can I wait until two or two and a half weeks from now, which would still be two weeks before the program started, when I find out my grades, to pay? Thanks for any information.
